TTL's 40TB Server Build

The 1080p 60FPS is as high as you need to go it looks really nice and although a lot of folks now have 1440p the vast majority are at 1080 or less, I'd maybe re look at it in a few years from now, but stay where you are for now

Personally less fps more resolution.

I wish I had that card :/ I'd setup a decent storage rig just download bits of the internet I like and that way I'd never have to venture out onto the internet.

How come you didnt choose to use a hot swap hdd cage? I made the mistake before and regretted it. Now I have hot swap cages with fit in the front of the case, makes life so much easier.

And a consumer PSU? I'd would have felt more safer with a dual server PSU.

What OS/software are you using?

So the server has been in use for ages and hasnt skipped a beat, Ive had some stuff waiting to be done to her for a few months though. So while my PC Mark tests were running on the 'NDA' rig (they take about 45 mins each) I cracked on with this!

(just side panel removed)

I decided I wanted a full side panel window, a cover for the roof vents/mesh and also black off the vents at the back of the case!

Window is held on with magnectic tape (an idea I stole from Wraith and will claim as my own!)

Certainly cleaned the lines up a bit, but it feels like it needs some light inside now to help show it off.... So that may well be what I do next time I turn her off / get a spare few mins!

Love the idea of using the magnetic tape to hold the window on. Still one of the best purpose built R5 builds ever. Were you really having a dust issue that you wanted to cover the top openings? If you never turn off does not the fans keep dust from settling?

It was about clean lines too tbh, but there was dust on the mesh so its just another job jobbed tbh.

i was thinking about getting my self i'm looking at a few from APC

If you are looking for a great UPS I'd recommend look at the liebert lineup from Emerson or Vertiv.

We have one of those babies hooked up to our main router and our main switch and we get quite the power surges/outtages it has survived everything
