As for the massive case option this is what i have been trying to avoid by going with the R5. I had a look at the nanoxia deep silence 6 case as well (yes is an old model) but its depth is prohibiting for me.

So Ive not updated this for a bit but Ive only reason posted a couple of pictures on the facebook page too.

All hard drives are in now and Ive done some testing to make sure they all arrived in full working order. This is it pretty much built. I need to pop the front on and wire that up and then with the airflow set as it will be in use I need to start testing the Raid card. Both with the OEM cooling and then my custom mental looking cooling so I actually know how much of a difference it all makes!

I know I'm really late to this but, I just want to share this anyways I guess. Its not perfect to my standard, but its doesn't look like I'll be working on it anymore. (Ill keep working on it only if TTL wants me too.)

That server could function as a dual purpose device. Once a day just lift it over your head several times and call it a workout!
 
Are you serious?!! When did you get 20 TB more?!! I'm really eager to see the build complete, stop teasing us please Tom :p

Makes my server upgrade seem a little insignificant lol. Just ordered an adaptec raid controller and 4x 3TB WD red along with an icy box. Should be fine for awhile before I'll need to expand.
