Tricks for upgrading contract?

I'm due an upgrade which I would have thought would have given me better deals due to loyalty etc. but tried ringing dialaphone and got a terrible deal. Shall I try orange directly or am I likely to get just as bad a deal?

Either that orrrrrr wait for the contract to end and get one of these good new customer deals =/

Do the majority of you upgrade or wait for the contract to end?

i usaly upgrade or get baught out,ither way i go directly to them and see what they can do,they usaly call you to say you can upgrade.

they wanna keep your custom so aslong as you dont go crazy then you should be ok with asking for what you want

I normally just phone up saying I'd like to cancel my contract as it's due to end in a few days. They put me straight on to retentions every time where I always get a good deal.

can you not get an upgrade from the provider and completely bypass dialaphone?

also you could maybe go into a phones4u shop as they are the same company as dialaphone, speaking to someone face to face might get better results, altho tbh people in those shops seemed such a waste of space when I was looking at getting a contract android phone

if your contract is nearly up you could just try to play networks off against eachother

My cousin did that.

But he was with T-Mobile for 6 years + he really did see an actualy deal that was better from O2.

He asked had asked for that code that helps you transfer your number or something and they oblige.

2 days later they called him back and had gave him an offer he can't refuse.

So yeah he had dropped from £30 p/m to £20 p/m.

I phoned orange today and they dont even have the desire in stock till the end of the week so i have to call back then. The contract itself isnt up till november but i can upgrade - so for the "cancel" contract thing to work i actually need to be in november im guessing? ill have to wait before i play that card

just wait for the phone to come back in stock fella,you need to be like a week before your contract ends before you play them cards.

good phone choice but it is widely sort after so orange will no that its a sort after phone so bear that in mind when trying your luck
