Time Sync.

I have one of those in chrome (look in the back of the GPU ports) but I am terrified about paying £7 odd and getting a different logo 'cause they were trying to save on ink lol.

Logo changes usually when a new revision of the fitting is made.

Aye, the colour isn't even the same. Ah well, it could have been a lot worse than £4, then £4.40 for the two plain EK ones. I might even get creative and print or cut something but I doubt it. I just want it all totally neutral and plain, then will let the lighting do the rest.

That's how RGB should be, IMO. If I pick a colour that sticks out too much it locks the PC into one look. After all of this money, wiring and work I don't want that.

Dont logo"ise" the stoppers. Keep them blank. We dont need to see designs on fittings. Its the fitting and loop that are of interest.

I find logos often tacky. Its the one thing I hate about BP, they slap it on everything

Looking good dude, enjoying the journey so far - you've worked bloody hard, and the detail is awesome. :)

Thanks man. Taking the whole day off tonight. Some one mentioned how messy the place was, and when I took a look around they were right. So I got dug into tidying the bedroom which ended up in a full spring clean. Like, wardrobes emptied out the lot.

Didn't get bed til 2am, up at 6:30. I am literally floating right now. Just had pizza, now I am ready to sleep. Once the final delivery comes I am going to bed for a few hours.

Doing anything today would have ended in disaster. I feel like I've smoked a bag of weed.

It would have been a plain cover, in a single colour. Then again at £4.38 it's not even worth firing up the plotter.

Depends how they've added the logo but sometimes you can get the logo paint off without taking off the background colour. I took the white painted Alphacool logo off a couple of black fittings successfully with some methanol a while back. Didn't work on a CoolForce fitting as I think they'd laser etched it. Might be a moot point as it looks like the shape is different and you've ordered different ones instead....but could be helpful info. The other style that look quite good in that location are the clear acrylic stop plugs.

yeah those plain black caps are nice. Simple! and discreet. Just how I like it.

When you have so many LEDs you can actually take decent pics in the dark lmao.

The reflections though... Hold on a second, seriously......

*rubs belly* mmm, yummy squid ink spaghetti.

I wonder if Bitspower ever knew that when spinning really fast their logo (look in the middle, good old eagle eyed autism at work) turns into a pic of their flow meter?

Few problems.

The GPU almost touches the board. You can't mount it further forward on the mount either, so I would bear that in mind if you were thinking about buying one of these Cooler Master mounts.

It's also stopped me from hooking up the loop into the back of the card, as there's simply no room. On a positive note though, I don't need the caps I just wasted £4 odd on lol.

I need two more 90' rotary fittings and extenders, so I have ordered those.

A kink has developed in the cold over night and I can't get it out (right down at the pump where it meets the hose going to the flow meter.). To fix this I am going to measure it up, then buy one of those extenders that looks like a bar. This will bring out the 90 deg fitting enough so I can literally straight pipe it right into the flow meter.

I am going to go away for the weekend I think, given that there's not much more I can do for now.

OK so I ordered two of these.

And one of these.

An issue I was having was with the Q adapter. It is so bulky that you can not put a regular fitting next to it. The only way was to extend out a little, but I want it out further so I got that ^. Not only should that clear the Q adapter but it will also look tidy. The 90' are EK, and unbranded (I hope). They should fit in well with the Bitspower stuff.

I have also decided (today) that I am going to make a cover for the GPU. That block just doesn't look right in copper and it needs something else. So, I think I will make a full cover fascia for it, but keep the cut out, if that makes sense.

I will design it when I get back home. I am away for the weekend now.

You might be able to move the GPU further away from the board if you desoldered or snip off the DVI connection. Depends if you REALLY want that extra space! Would it work if you moved it a slot or two out and mounted the DVI in a short slot cut in the case rather than an existing full PCI slot?
Is there a different terminal block available for that cooler that would move the fittings somewhere more helpful? I know there is for some of the EKs.

The PCIE slot itself for the ribbon is bolted into the mount. So to move it anywhere that is where you would need to start cutting. The DVI is the smallest issue, as you can just cut out the metal to move it. Like a rectangle, only one side is already missing (if that makes sense).

I am happy to leave it where it is (even though I had to do up the block fittings all the way to clear the lump) but I am not happy with how it looks and sadly I have no funds at all to buy another block. I just can't afford it, even though I found a black Heatkiller for 90e, it is money I don't have. I've already borrowed from my savings to buy all these fittings *sigh*.

I think I am just going to have to leave it for a while. It will me off and get smashed if I force the issue. I want to paint the block but it's mad hours, so I think I might make a cover of sorts. TBH? I think that is the best option as A. it's an afternoon of design and drawing and B. I have all of the plex to make it and C. it's only 10 mins of cutting and some plastic weld. Then a bit of polishing/dressing.

I will draw something up when I can. Like a fool I did not take the dimensions etc before I left, so I can only draw up something rough.

I have a million and one opportunities of making it look ace without spending any cash, though. Water blocks are all about their face IMO and I can pretty much put anything over it, show off the water a little bit and that's job done. I don't think that is worth going into negative funds of over 130 quid by the time you add in a new back plate ('cause mine would not work end of. It has its own end channel that only fits this block).

There, just a basic drawing (not to scale or size etc). I can afford a piece of A4 flat black acrylic, for example, then cut it up...

Have bought this.

Ignore the back plate, you won't see it. I just can't live with doing all of the work I have and having to have it look like it does now. I should be able to recoup some money selling the block and plate that's on there.

Damn, you went the primo route! Nice block. Here in Canada we get absolutely raped on Bitspower gear, prices are insane. Very nice gear though, leagues above EK.

It was £20 more than the block and bp I have now @ £155.

It was on sale.

I'm not happy as it means I'm broke for 2 weeks but I would be much unhappier living with a large slab of copper for the rest of my years. It doesn't look right and I can't just settle with it after working so hard for so long.

Let's face it it's much cheaper than RTX.

Oh I don't think it is wasted or tbh? I would not have got it. I was quite surprised when I found it that I actually liked it, because their other blocks can be really bad. It's just a nice plain block with deliriously thick acrylic and RGB as a bonus.

I think it's just more than I am feeling at a really low point, so right now nothing really makes me feel good. I blame the weather for most of it, and having flaky friends. Funny, because being autistic when I want my friends there they're not there, but when I don't them seem to want to hang out all of the time lol.

I don't need any more GPU power than I have I know that, and tbh I am still £400 less than what the card cost at RRP so I really don't mind spending the money either. As I said, I want it to look right and that just doesn't.

The way gaming is going for me? I think this will be my last gaming PC. The very fact I have not touched the hardware at all since last June says it all. Now sure, I haven't needed to, but then even if I did I wouldn't bother. I will game on the Xbox now and just use my PC for everything else. And on those terms? I shouldn't need to change anything for at least 5-10 years. Which makes me happy haha.

Got messed around on the water block. Got a refund and got this, saving myself £100 in the process. I will get a RGB strip for it for like £5 or something.

Just realised I already have some spare RGB strips in the halos.

Result !
