I'm starting to get a string of 6970's. PPD is only at 15K (stock clocks atm though)
 
So i had to reinstall windows fresh and i wanna know if its possible that my problem was folding related.

So there i was folding again and finally getting some WUs out when my computer blue screens :banghead: then when i tried to restart it askes if i wanna start windows normally so i hit enter.... all i got was a black screen, then restarted and got the same thing so i tried booting in safe mode, and the SAME thing happened. so basically i couldn't use my computer without reinstalling windows (and losing everything, thankfully i use dropbox for all my school work)

anyways is it possible that folding somehow made my cpu make a mistake somewhere in windows that broke it? or did folding some way, some how stress my ssd ? -- i 'm currently running a vertex4 256gb, and i KNOW ocz is a shitty company and will never buy from them again --
 
Nope it can't stress the SSD,
you can get a "bad" WU tho ..but then most of the time it will end with a EARLY_END_UNIT ,

BSOD's and Folding is often a bad overclock on your side...
so a unstable machine...

BTW + 1 on NOT buying a OCZ again ;)

And i wish you good luck on solving this !
 
Been folding on a Intel SSD for about two years now without issue

What you are seeing is probably an excessive OC or possibly faulty hardware

I have a vertex 3 120gb thats from '10 and its working fine too, its just this vertex 4 256gb thats my problem... whatever just warning you its not worth the RISK of getting a shitty drive from them

So i was think the next drive i get, a WD caviar RED 2TB, what do you think??? its made for use in home NAS and home severs, it claims 1,000,000 hours between failure. PLUS wouldn't need to worry about storage, that one drive would do it all (yea i know its slower, but meh don't think i'd notice that much)
 
WauW major drop in PPD on my GPU's with these crappy PPD WU's (7624p),
that's like 30000PPD + less :(:wacko:

/waits for "beta" WU(s).....

I don't know. REDS are supposedly the most reliable. I guess they are worth a try :)
 
currently not folding due to my ISP screwing me around. cannot connect to download/upload my WU's :( an i was just starting to average 30k too :(

That's unfortunate :(

I'm having issues of my own. I'm getting F@H crashes (the program itself). I'm still using GPU Tracker V2. Maybe it's time to finally change, lol.
 
Units failing to send here, Had at least 6 errors in the log regarding connection to the work servers :s

Still, the overclock is helping to keep that average up :D (Thanks to Pickster for the OC help)
 
Rig 2 had a Update and re-booted (again) :banghead: No idea how much time i lost ?!
and for crying out load i see thread after thread people getting this new beta WU , where the hell is it in Holland :confused:

5 GPU's :nopity:

EDIT just had to configure it a bit better.....

BSOD main rig,
i hope it is heat as the temps went up a lot these last 2 days :mellow:

or it IS a combo overclock and the 8057p WU, but i hardly doubt that....

Had a terrible WU, 158 PPD and 14 days ETA. Dumped it. Also overnight had a memory error on the folding rig :/ lost a good few hours there. Average has taken a tumble.
 
Hmm can't send or download a project,
its been like this for a hour :mellow:

3 slots down as there is no unit in them.........

EDIT, 2 hours waiting and i only have one GPU Folding...:(
EDIT2 2 rigs downloaded WU's one is still meh...:)
