Those little annoying F@H things ..

I recently lost 6TB.. That was FUN!

I'm guessing it was a 3 x 2TB RAID 0 setup. That sucks a lot. (2 TB drives are expensive). I managed to send an old PSU to it's death. That's all the HW I've killed. I may end up shortening the lifespan of a laptop, but no worries there. (it may as well be dead now, it runs Vista w/ a 'meh' CPU)

Nearly. 2x2TB, 1x1TB and a few other smaller drives. Faulty PSU cable and me not spotting it, plugged them in, turned it on, BOOOM!

That's kinda funny because I basically killed my PSU Folding 24/7 with a decent OC. The freakin thing was like 4 years old when I bought it. My HDD death wasn't related to my PSU, it was related to the Dell PC that it came from (C521, they covered the HDD with an optical drive, and offered no breathing room or cooling for it). It was an old 80GB Samsung drive. I use it as a paperweight (need one, I got 4 SickleFlows cooling my laptop MacGuyver style - the fans are strong enough to pull in paper).

It's a few hours later, but I'm having no issues getting work.

Hi there

Just had the same problem. The wu finished couldnt be sent to server.Problem was that pc was disconnected from internet.

I use Ubuntu 11.04,and there is "auto eth0" in connections, which i enabled, and in two seconds i was online again.

Hope it will help you

EDIT:The client may need a restart after it has send finished wu.

FYI, for all you guys running langouste or thinking about it... the v7 client does the same in terms of uploading and downloading seperatly from folding itself.

downside of the v7 client is however that it currently (AFAIK) impossible to monitor in the same way as the v6 clients.

and ofcourse it is still in beta, although I have found it to be rocksolid.

It connects just fine in Safe Mode.. And in Mac OS or Linux.

Now to find the change in the Windows system that I haven't (knowingly) made..

EDIT: It was the update to NOD32..

Rolled back to 4.2.71 and all is well.

I'm kinda mad right now. I forgot to click apply after I entered my name. I added a few points to the team under the name "Anonymous." Oh, well. My sister didn't go to school today. She hurt her back helping my mom move some stuff. being at home, she was able to sign for my brand new PSU (TX650 V2). Woo hoo. I'm back

Nah, just add your Passkey and the same username as you've used so far and you're good to go.

Thanks for that Kup I didn't know that

I always use the same user name but unfortunately I didn't make a note of the passkey I was using befor so I had to get a new one but i'll save this one somewhere so I can use it again if anything goes wrong.
