Thermaltake Toughpower 850w - 8-pin pci issue

i am able to get toughpower 850w psu for dirt cheap.

however this model does not come with the 8 pin pci-express connector.

so the issue is will i be able to power two gtx 280's OC's with the 6pin to 8pin adapters you can buy online or would that be far too risky?

if so what are the risks?

You'll have absolutely no problems at all. In fact, most PSU manufacturers simply piggyback the extra two pins off a existing cable (just like the 6-8Pin adapters).

PPC&P psu wouldn't let me do this. I had to be clever with about 3 adapters via molex.
