Thermaltake Smart or Corsair CS Power Supply ?

Hi, i need some help choosing a good power supply for my Rig.
I got:
4790k 4Ghz
MSI 770 GTX
Gigabyte Z87X-DH3 Motherboard

I was thinking about the 630W Thermaltake Smart SE Modular 80+ Bronze, or the 550 Watt Corsair CS Series Modular 80+ Gold. I dont know if Thermaltake is a good Brand and can be trusted, or should i choose the 550W ?
Budget is around 60€

Yes it would power your rig with 550w corsair psu but you wouldn't have much headroom for upgrades (eg in 770 sli)

When i upgrade the Graphics i will upgrade the Psu too. I will go for the 550W

Corsair is a better bet however if you can get a similar specc'd PSU from Superflower (or EVGA) or Seasonic I'd go for that as if I remember the CS is a bit poor.

I had never problems with Thermaltake items. I think as my friend's sons rig has Thermaltake Smart SE 530W Modular, its a good PSU and have no any issue since he got it. He using it for a Intel Core2Quad 6600 and a NV 8800GT. (note that he is living in an Ukrain village next to Hungarian boarder and the electricity system is very bad, and the previus 2 PSU died after 5 and 11 months. Tt PSU still working after 2 years)

Corsair CS is also good but never buy VS series they are very bad....

Must have been blessed by a priest or something. ThermalTake gear should be taken just like their designs and plastic... to the bin.

Maybe you are comparing a super cheap un-popular brand or genric psu to a thermaltake psu, in that case the thermaltake psu would be better.
But if you are comparing thermaltake to other popular psu brand like antec or corsair, then thermaltake is a bad choice

Not really. They were coolermaster stuffs... I know there are much better brands and so on but theres some people outthere who cannot afford it. :/ The Tt products in my opinion not as bad as you mentioned. I had and have some stuff from them and never had big issues with them.
Desing is a very subjective thing..

I'm using atm a Chieftec GTO-850W PSU and its 5 years old I never had problem with it (it was not cheep it was cost the same price as Corsair HX850 and Enermax Liberty 750). I got my new AX1200i too but it will go to the new rig.

Low end coolermaster psu's with all the leds, bells and whistles are Bad (especially the low end older psus)!

Yes they like this... but it was a simple oldscool CM Pro 550W.
I dont like these LED psu-s. I even dont want to see or hear them. Just do their work in silence

The problem with getting a poor PSU is, if you buy a crap PSU, it can take all of your hardware with it and is more likely too in a shorter time. Whereas if you get a high quality unit from a brand such as BeQuiet!, Corsair, EVGA, Seasonic, the newer Cooler Master stuff and a few others that haven't come to mind, you will have much higher components in the PSU, if it blows chances are that it won't take your rig with it and generally the higher quality components run cooler and have less coil whine or equivalent.

Just my advice.
