Its a nice keyboard indeed. Its a shame its on Kickstarter though as so many things on it never go well.

From what I have heard from the developers the keyboard is pretty much done, they just need to kickstart full on production.

This one should be a Kickstart and get the keyboard in a few months sort of deals, rather than some kickstarters that take a few years.

We will have to see how it goes though.

Unless they've had 100s of samples from Manufacturers in China (or wherever) then I take any shipping with a pinch of salt. Especially when Kickstarter campaigns claim to go from prototype to shipping within 6 months. Though this is a keyboard and not something completely new, so maybe they can get it manufactured quicker.

Remember guys this discussion is not about Corsair, please stay on topic.

I do agree with Dice though that it would be interesting to see if this tech will be implemented by other manufacturers.

Wouldn't mind seeing this implemented on keyboards like Ducky or even Cherry :)

So how does a keyboard fall apart ?

I've got 3 Corsair keyboards in my household and none are falling apart.
Didn't you go through a stage of different peripheral manufacturers because you kept getting corsair keyboards with dead LEDs at one point? :P

Its a phrase but since you asked:
Keys stop working
usb stops working
the lights stop working
etc

Considering how long it took them to sort out the LEDs on their keyboards and shield them properly I don't think they'd be cut out for this more 'specialist' way of doing a keyboard. Probably not enough money in it for them either.

Anyway,
It'd be cool if Corsair/Coolermaster/Ducky et al get this tech to the market without the need of crowd funding and overly optimistic promises but I very much doubt it. I mean, with the exception of Razer (who, lets be honest didn't really do much) no one else has really released a different style of keyboard switch and done well from it.
