The White Elephant

Chris you have to check out GURT11 on 'Rearranging and cable sleeving my 600T'

......... WHITE SLEEVES ......... ;-)

GPU is coming, when all is up and running I will definitely need to run test, will keep you posted !

Nice room setup ;-)

I would recomed you to buy another 8gb kit of ram, to take advantage of the quadchannel, thoug not much performanse to gain, but it's a litte ;)

Hi frufsa,

absolutely i will boost the ram for sure, the Platinum ram is lovely a bit excessive but would be a shame no to fill all 8 slots on my Mobo, if my pocket will allow it I will top it off to 4gb kits to max it out at 32gb when finished, it will look good and go well.

BitFenix Spectre PRO 200mm Fan

Hi All,

Just a small update to 'The White Elephant'

I have replaced the stock front 200mm fan in my 600t SE with the BitFenix Spectre PRO 200mm all white and very nice.

It is actually much better than the stock and is pushing air in much much better so I think a good replacement and in keeping with the white case :)

All went in very easy.

Spec:-
900RPM
Air flow 148.72CFM
Air pressure 1.26mmH2O
Noise 27.5dB(A).

About to purchase GPU and SSD drives hopefully be with me very soon.

KANEY.

Ok this looks much better. :)

great build. love your hardware!

this is just a small thing but have you considered routing the h100 fan cables to the left or right of the heatsink and then up and out? that's the way i did it in a built with the same rampage 4 motherboard recently.

Hi Andrevautour,

Thanks for the tip, it is definitely worth a look, and it does look pretty tidy, from your pic its look as though you have gone through a similar build.

To hopefully finish this build, tomorrow I will be making a few more purchases and then start testing this monster, for games (or course) and Modo for 3D rendering........ I cannot wait !!
I will start off at stock setting and see after a lot of research start overclocking this rig and hopefully find a 24/7 sweet spot.

to buy...
(8gb of extra ram Corsair Platinum, 180gb Force GT SSD and finally MSI Geforce N680GTX Lightning)

I will take pics of course to share this build.

KANEY :)

absolutely beautiful build. can't wait to see the final, final product. great kit too; very jealous!

Hi!

Yes I recently built a system for my dad that has similar specs to yours. There are a few pictures here if you're interested: http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrevautour/sets/72157629505752597/

And here is the thread with pictures of my system: http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=45768

No worries, I want to do my cables white now! (Need to fix my H100 first though)

Hi Chris How do you break a H100 ? Are they easy to fix ? What's even the shelve life of one of these ?
........sorry for all the questions !! :p

Hey! yes, that looks good to me :)
for my dad's system he likes to play games like crysis 2 in 3d so lots of power needed for that, but definitely a crazy powerful /overkill system even for the best looking games in 3d. thanks for looking :)

have you gotten your system running yet? how are you liking it so far? the corsair dominator platinum ram is really great looking. i like it a lot!

Hello all,

okay a couple of more goodies have arrived today so will get these in as soon as possible.

I have Windows 7 on its way and then just left with the FINAL purchase of the GPU so unfortunately Andrevautour my system isnt up and running yet just need the GPU and then hopefully sorted I cant wait to be honest but I have to watch my funds cause this little baby is a bank breaker !! :o

but i knew that when I got into this build.

Already thinking of the next build as this baby tips more towards a bit of a workstation. But for the next rig I want an all out dedicated gaming machine for home maybe a 2600K with a good dose of overclocking !

I will of course do my research but I really would like the best balance of power and cost ............ as in keep COSTS DOWN:p as always all advice is welcome, BUT will get into this in due time.

KANEY
