Been playing God of War today properly for the first time on my 4K TV with the PS4 Pro, After playing PC for a very long time I am seriously impressed, The amount of detail is amazing especially when you choose the resolution option which bumps the game up to 4K checker board rendering, These pics do not do it justice, The level of detail in this game is insane, I said "holy sh**" quite a few times" ^_^

nah geralt definitely looks better overall. His beard is nothing in comparison to Kratos's though. The beard on geralt is horrible! I am also pretty sure they used more polygons for geralt though. Can't remember what Kratos was.

IMO consoles are finally at the stage where from 15+ft away you ain't telling the difference unless you could spot a needle in a haystack. I also read an article claiming that many people can't even fully see 4k because their eyes are not good enough.

I'm done with buying ludicrously priced GPUs I really am. My Xbox impresses the s**t out of me every time I play it. I mean sure, if I take a screeny then look at it I can see it looks a bit basic, but that is sitting about 18" away from my 32" screen, not 17ft away from my 55".

Consoles all the way.

Ed. Oh yeah ! there is a video on Youtube of a guy trying to build a 4k gaming PC for less than a Xbox One X. He fails. The PC just can't produce the same quality/res graphics as the console. Let me tell you, that is the first time ever I had seen a console "out do" a PC. But yeah, even at £430 or whatever the 1x costs you are not building a PC that can beat it.

Which is pretty cool man. For less than the price of a mid range GPU you can buy an entire unit for gaming on. Wow, never ever thought I would call a console that.

All I can say is that I was extremely impressed when I fired up GoW on the 4K TV, First time in ages I've said "wow".

Yup, GoW and HZD imo look as good as any recent PC game.

Only payed a bit of HZD but wow, Was honestly gob smacked, If this is the quality I can expect for console exclusive games going forward I can't see me being a PC gamer for much longer.

Kingdom Come Deliverance. I'm yet to find a game with such impressive wilderness. The forests are simply amazing. It's also one of the first games I've played where night really is properly dark.

These are actually medium settings.

Horizon Zero Dawn is an amazing game.

Story wise I felt is what abit lacking until you go back and replay it and pay attention

Graphics wise it's a really good looking game, would love to see it at 4K on a pc but it's a Playstation exclusive.

Quite impressed with the performance of the Vega 64 so far, Especially the temps, I replaced the stock TIM with some Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and replaced the slightly too thin VRM thermal pad with a thicker Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad 8.

Both 8700K and Vega 64 running at stock, Only thing I did with the 8700K is set the all core boost to it's default max of 47 and use a 1:1 fan ratio on the Vega 64 and even then it's very quiet, Max temp I saw on the Vega card was around 50'c while ingame, Very impressed, All other system fans and CPU fans are set to 600-800RPM.
