The time has come for a new Headset.

Welp my friends it has come time for this Audiophile to get a headset. I have enjoyed the one I have now for quite sometime but with the upcoming system building I have decided to get a new headset as well. So far I have found these to be the most visually and spec wise appealing headset for me.

I will leave it up to the community for anything that may or may not be better and that I should consider. Please take into account my needs, decent mic for recording gameplay videos and streaming, great audio quality for both music and gaming, and the ability to work with 3D audio mixers.

Hard to go wrong with Sennheiser. I have a set of their HD558's and love them. I do car audio SQ competitions and use them for reference and they are great. Ive not heard those particular cans you listed but have heard several sets of Sens and all have been outstanding. Id expect those to be top notch as well.

Careful about Sennheiser headsets.

They use leather earpads, which have the sh*tty habit to self-destruct after a couple of years.
And good luck to find replacement pads. Got a PC333D from them without earpads anymore, so basicly, they have become useless. The headset also has a mute mic function when I move the mic up, but seems it sends a plop sound through to the person you're talking to. Hardly discrete... -_-

Another thing I would like to mention is that I noticed using a webcam for the mic is much better overall for quality. Noone I talked to through the webcam had to complain, and my webcam is even facing the wall behind my screen.

So, imho, best combo is to get a good quality webcam for the mic, and a good quality headset.

Hehe, I just had webcam for skyping, but I rarely use the cam now.

It's a relic, but the quality of the mic is so good, I kept it for that function.
