The GTX 670 is small right? Zotac think not

I think we can all agree that the reference GTX 670 is remarkably small, especially for it's performance that it gives out. Well, Zotac have gone one step further with their new TwinCooler for the 670. The cooler features 2 80mm fans and a compact and dense aluminium heatsink to cool the GPU, VRM's and Memory, all of this on a cooler which is 60mm shorter than the reference design cooler. The card also comes with a small factory overclock, with the GPU clock set to 954MHz (1033MHz Boost) and 6208MHz memory and features the usual dual 6 pin power connectors seen on reference 670's. This remarkably tiny card is set to release on the 20th June.

LOL what is that?! I am not paying £300+ for that! haha

Those 80mm fans sounds like they will scream.

So the cooler on this card is the same length as the PCB?

Yup, exactly that. I guess Zotac weren't fans of the reference cooler hanging off the edge of the PCB.

Yeah i think they might be noisy too, unless they let the card run a little warmer to keep fan speeds down

I can see a great use for these in HTPC's and the like, but I must agree I would feel gutted if I paid £300ish for it, would much rather get something like the Asus gtx 670 DCUII with a bigger PCB.

well it should only go in htpc, wouldnt want to be staring at it.

Equally i dont like the overhang cooler, like the HD7870 Top and the GTX 670, it looks so silly

I don't know why, but this thing just LOOKS loud. I'd take it if someone gave it to me, but I don't think i'd ever hand over my own pretty pennies.

I'm really hoping those aren't the same fans Pal1t use - cos they are loud and need re-managing to be comfortable with.

I'd be shocked if it was the case knowing Zotac.

That said, I expect good overclocking. Iirc the white strip is visible on the top too, which will go nice with a white-Prodigy/Mac build.

lol I actually sorta like it. It has a black PCB and in a way it sorta looks cute

But you guys are right if it were my money I probably wouldn't want that stub in my rig. Anyone think that anyone will make a "670 X2" considering its relatively high end and so small so they could fit 2 of these on a PCB quite easy.

my thoughts no, considering theres already a gtx 690, they've never done it before, and for the money it would cost you'd be better off getting a gtx 680

i mean they are perfect if you want to build a HTPC but most HTPCs, from my findings, tend to be for web browsing or other light tasks, and dont require you to shell 300£ on a graphics card, plus two in SLI, just buy a 690
