Lol have the mugs come up again? I have one for subscribing to Custom PC years ago, but I feel like a traitor if I get it out now. (I'm an OC3D'er now, I' am FAP King!)
I remember them giving case badges out for free too, used to be stuck on my ew, dare I say it, thermaltake armor...but we all know Tom hates case badges anyway!
Have you seen Linus is asking if people will buy Linus branded case fans now?

kitguru have some fans that they give away from time to time. Full colors and everything.
Meh don't think I'd bother with fans, what is branded, the middle part which blurs when spinning anyway?
I'd do a mug, "Hey guys, for those of you who have them, it's time to pull out ya mugs!" but nothing hardware wise. I'd take the custom case graphics to but that aint happening haha.

There's no need to be a jerk, mate. If you don't like his content, simply don't watch it. Don't go downvoting his videos that he works hard on.

I 100% agree with this - I get people doing it on mine and you can be sure (when the vid is 40 minutes long and live for 4 minutes the dislikes are just people with a grudge

Dude, he doesn't put ads in there for fun. That's how he earns his living. Yes you could say there are already ads before the video, to which I would respond by saying that a) Many people use adblock and b) Youtube doesn't make much money, so you cant blaim him for wanting a little more. Just don't give him a hard time over it. Remember so many people do it, like TTL and Linus.

Pretty much everyone else does that so you better start writing alot of messages.
The thing you have to realise is that, even if people on youtube didn't ask for there videos to have add's in them to make them some money, youtube would still put add's in them anyway, it's one of the ways youtube make money for themselves.
I have had my account set for me to make money from add's on my videos, and although I have made less in 3 years than I earn in one hour at work, I still have it running because why shouldn't I be able to make a pitance from them just like youtube.
If your not happy with the add's then install Add Block and then do what I do with the videos from Linus and others and just skip the 1 or 2 minutes, that they talk about paid for product placement and a example is Linus with the Dollar Shave Club, as soon as that comes up I skip past it or stop watching the video if it's at the end.
As it is though, the people who do this type of thing normally won't have a typical day job to do and then come home and start reviewing hardware each night, or reporting on tech news as they still have to have time for themselves and families.
If they are trying to make a full time career out of it then off course they are going to try and get as much money as they can from each video, as this type of work may not be around forever and this may be all they are good at.
