Swiftech Komodo 7970 water block

WOW is all i can say about this product i have just seen, its the Swiftech Komodo full cover waterblock.

Ive never been happy with the idea of exposed components on a graphics card as i take mine out to clean and access

other things so often, and most of the waterblocks on the market today always leave large areas of the pcb unprotected.

So when i saw this today i pretty much made my mind up that when i get my next build underway these will be playing

a center stage role

cant wait!

Now the thing is i have started folding alot recently so i was thinking of going with maybe a gtx680 for my next build and these would look awesome

but i dont think they do them for the 680, but let me know if anyone knows of any really sweet looking FULL cover blocks cos they are SEXY

Gutted my HD6950 is non-reference now as i would have got the 6900 series version for my card

cant win them all hey.

I'm still waiting for notification of these being available in the UK. You can order from swiftech direct and get slammed for import duty.

There was an issue with the first couple of batches in that the screw head were recessed in the block causing the sticker/vinyl to sink into the holes. I think they've corrected that problem now though.

These are essentially the same idea as the hydrocopper blocks. where you would have evga branding you have swiftech branding. same bridges etc, obviously different block ;D. But they look much nice undereath with that glossy finish imo.

You can get the 7950 version from Holland. (Dunno how much shipping will cost, but atleast you won't get tax-raped).

I really love the look of these blocks , and the crossfire connector lights up red when running ( led's inside ) .

They should start making blocks for non ref cards and they would have one more customer -----------> ME !
