Hiya, i have currently 2 ssds (agility series), and 4x SAS drives in RAID 0. Now i want to raid my ssds alongside my sas but my computer wont let me. A bit fo background and more info now.

2 SSDs (want to raid on my gigabyte board - GA890fxa-UD7)

4 SAS 15k Drives - Successfully raided in raid 0 Using Add-in LSI raid controller

Now here comes the problem, when i have my sas all happily raided, my board goes into raid mode, then on boot gets stuck on detecting drives (this is for sata ssds). I remove sas raid card, and works fine... So two together. I am a computer technician who regularly sets up servers and gamign pcs, so i know my stuff. Wonder4ing if anyone has any ideas or had this before, and a work around. I rang up gigabyte support, and the support team (including the manager, hadnt a clue what Raid even was??

Thanks.

Have you got all the latest bios's for you raid controller and the motherboard?

Yes i do, i nfixed it though. If anyones interested. I disabled the card from booting and detecting the drives on boot, and instead set them to spin up, and detect in windows, which stopped the conflict and allows my motherboard to detect the ssds i want raided. So all sorted
