Space restrictions

Hi, I'm new to all this but i'm looking to buy a new graphics card preferably Geforce 8800 series. I have looked at cards by BFG and XFX but they all seem to take up 2 physical spaces, i.e the pci-e slot and the pci slot below. I don't have enough room for this as all my pci slots are taken up. Is it possible to get a decent high-ish end graphics card that only takes up the one slot. Budget is around £200.

You could get an 8800GT which is a single-slot cooler. We just put out a review on it, here. You could also settle for an 8600GT for a bit less performance but would also be single-slot.

Yea i just took a look at the review, so might go with one of those. Is it going to become out dated really quickly though ?
