Socket F to take place of Socket M2

In a sense... Socket M2's first design was based off of a 1,207 pin scheme and was going to be the new standard in personal desktop interfaces.

A while back however, AMD decided to rethink the idea of Socket M2 and bring it back to a 940 pin design (the same as the current socket 940 server socket). With this, AMD still felt the need to carry out the 1,207 pin socket. Thus they have dubbed the new 1,207 pin socket, Socket F, which will debut as the new "server series" socket. Socket F will be introduced next year as well, and will be used for AMD's Opteron lineup, except for the 100 series, which will migrate to the M2 platform with the A64.

so F is the new one, there all shifting up, 939 wil be like 754 is now...obsolete, 940, which is currently the server socket, wil be the main one, and M2 the new 1,207 pin wil be the new server socket, which wil, when a new socket is released become the main one and the new one wil become the server one....does that make sense...cos thats what it seems like to me lol
