Sleep mode can "kill" ur ssd? O.O

OCZ has pretty bad SSDs until the Vertex IV. Had mine for over a year and it still runs like a champ. (With someone who know how to not fry an SSD in the first place)

I have an OCZ Vertex 2 for 3 or 4 years now (don't really know) and it still works (60gb)

On topic: Sleep mode could cause excessive disk writes if you have a lot of RAM and a small SSD, (for example you have 16GB of RAM and a 60GB SSD, each time it would go to sleep and save the RAM on disk, there'd be write access for whatever much memory used at the moment which can accumulate.) iirc. SSDs can only take up to 10,000 write cycles per cell.

Oh god OCZ far cry 3 really burned me on my decision process of purchasing a Vector. I just installed windows 8.1 and user settings aren't saving... eh hem.... Therefore my PC enters sleep mode after 30 minutes of idling it is than awakened with drive errors.

Quite pathetic that they do not have sleep states on a %*$@ SSD god damn.

True retard innovation from there labs. Is Walter white in bed with them or something? I don't get it.

Well i looked on somes forums and somes peoples say that the "sleep" mode can damage ur ssd.... so i want to know is that realy true that "SLEEP" mode damage our ssd?

PS:I got an OCZ VERTEX 2 SANDFORCE

I agree with CrazyRussian. This is exactly what I did & it has worked for me. Sandforce controller was not faulty but the OCZ firmware surely was! Just a minor patch has helped this & haven't had any issues from then on.

Yeah i ditched my OCZ drives for Samsungs as soon as i heard about them being crap...
