What's going on guys i almost have all my parts to begin my 2nd build. This time i am going all out with water cooled cpu/gpu. Still waiting on my motherboard and cpu water cooling parts. At first i was going to do an amd 8150 build and after i put the pc together to test it out i did not much like the performance of the amd chip so i put that for sale and got an Intel chip instead.

Corsair 650D Obsidian
Asus Sabertooth x79 Motherboard
Intel Core i7 3930k
AMD Radeon HD 7970
Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1833 RAM
XFX PRO 850W XXX Edition PSU
OCz 120GB Vertex 3 SSD boot drive
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB HDD
Creative Labs T20 Series Speakers
Logitech G500 Mouse
Microsoft Sidewinder x6 keyboard
and some case lights

Water Cooling(still waiting for it to come in)
XS-PC RS360 Radiator
XS-PC 5.25 Dual Bay Res
XS-PC Raystorm CPU Block
Swifttech MCP655 Pump
XS-PC White PVC Tubing
VGA:
Swiftech Komodo HD 7979 Full Water Block
Black Ice GT 240 Red Radiator

Also one thing that worries me the most is fitting the 360 rad inside the 650 case. I might have to do some small modification or place it outside, so if you have info on that please let me know.

Pictures coming soon

ive just modded a 360 in my 650D you would need a rad grill, i had mine custom made, and you have to extend the mesh section in the roof of the case, with my motherboard i know the maximum rad i can allow for is a 45mm one. if you want to fit the 240 rad in the front, well that will also require modding

I'm thinking of just putting 360 rad outside. but on the other hand i really want to fit everything inside. Were you able to take of that hdd holder thing on top i get everything off except for that no matter what i do i can't get it off. I can see it so comes off at certain parts but something is holding it really tight. I'm willing to do some light modding but don't really want to do things like cutting the case. As far as the 240 rad if i do decide to put the 360 on top the 240 would go standing up towards the front. I got some velcro so im sure i could make it work. Have the front 240 fan pulling air out of the case and 2 120 fans pushing air into the radi. Do you have a link to your rig? I would like to see some pics.

If you look in the project logs for project coolsair thats mine it will show you.what i did for the front rad mod. have put the roof one up yet.as most of these poats are off my phone on the way to work :P if you want to see how i did it pretty muxh the aame principle as TTL,s bitfenix shinobi mod challenge viseo

So i now have my whole computer torn apart and trying to figure what is goin to go where. I took few pics to just give a little update.

The barebones case:

One of my concerns is trying to remove this hdd holder so i can fit the 360 rad on top but the thing just will not come off. Even though the mesh on top of the case is designed for 240 or 280 radiator i think i should be fine if one of the fans doesnt have mesh on top of it. I've seen people stuff the radiators on bottom with barely any room to breath. Anyway anyone here with 650d that knows how to take off that hdd holder?

Next thing up is i never use the front ports with usb/mic/sata port etc, so i'm going to take off majority off these cable with the exception of hdd lights, power/reset button and try to add my my cathode controller as i dont want to clutter up the look inside with all the cathode cables.

And here is few shots of most of the parts. Still waiting on the motherboard as well as the cpu w/c parts. Should be here withing next few hours.

Whats good guys sorry for kind of late update but my internet was down for a day so i actually accomplished quiet a bit. Right not i'm leak testing and after that i will wire the thing up. I had quiet a few problems yesterday starting with on the work bench. It just would not boot. I tried so many varations of things and finally figured out that my HDMI cable would give me ground and nothing would start. Then another probem i ran into is finding a good spot for the 360 rad. I mounted it on top but still not quiet satisfied with how it is sitting. Spend about 8 hours today and another 7-8 yesterday. Time warner guy finally showed up and fixed our internet. Well here is few pics of almost finished. Tomorrow i will likely put the thing all together. I took a few shots while working on it yesterday but not gonna put them up because they are cell phone and that good of a quality. Oh and kit that i ordered did not come with a mcp 655 pump but a 750 x20 combo. i read it about it doesnt sound like a bad deal still but i will most likely add a 655 and a res and make it dual loop once i get another 7970

That loop looks way to busy, especially the tube going from rad back into the res/pump. Also the tube coming out bottom of GPU could perhaps be better sited coming out the top with a 90 degree rotary taking it towards the rad.
Painted rad is nice idea, but wrong colour for this build. looks well out of place.
