set up RAID for different chipsets?

If I had more than one partition on a RAID, each RAID set up on a different chipset (ICH and nV) could I move my disk setup between boards?

I think no, but another opinion (saying its ok!) would be nice..dont wanna have to stick to single disks for benching

Just re-install for each set-up or you could set-up dual boot with say XP Pro and XP64/Vista?

I`ve just answered my own question.

RAID setup insists on wiping the disks, so previous RAID information would be wiped

If only they did an i-ram type of thingy that was big enough and man enough to safely hold onto 2 OS's - sorted.

On a positive - we should start to see the new hybrid drives early next year - thhe Samsung Roadmap had February 07 as it launch date....... here's hoping.
