Set CPU in Bios to Auto

Ah, I see - you're far more of an enthusiast overclocker than I.
I came in late to the party; I was only really getting into PCs when Sandy was being released. The previous platforms seem far too complicated for my liking! I just like to get running as soon as possible, and having to juggle BCLK, memory speeds etc. around is not my idea of fun :)
I can however understand where you're coming from.

prime 95 run on noctua air at 4400 63c , buy a graphics card twin frozer msi and fan your system right , you tell me why I am going water cool bother ???????????

It is a waste of time if you can strap an air cooler on run at near max speed of todays chips and graphics cards and still be way under safe temps

2600k is rated safe at 70c plus , so why is water cooling not a waste of time ??

Looks awesome, can be run quieter, can include GPUs and all that good stuff.
We're enthusiasts - we like stuff like watercooling.

Well with that you got you are only 7C from safety. Slap on an H40, H60, H80, and so on you can drop 5C+ or more. That will increase your overclock headroom and also give you a longer lifespan for your Processor. That is what water cooling isn't a waste of time.

I wouldn't ever set my volts to auto, it doesn't offer enough control and I've seen my motherboard ramp the voltage up to 1.49/1.5 trying to maintain an overclock when that voltage wasn't actually necessary.
I can't speak for the rest of the guys on here, but one of the first things I disable is speedstep, so I aim for the lowest stable voltage for a given clock. There is some work involved with overclocking still, although it's very much easier than with 1366 and earlier sockets.
Watercooling is a contentious subject, some don't trust it, some don't like it, some don't see the need at all.
I use it because I run both my current rigs folding 24/7, my 2600k is @ 4.8 Ghz with a high of 58 degrees over the last week, and my QX6850 is @ 4.2 Ghz with a high of 61 degrees over the last week. I couldn't get close to those temps/overclocks using my NH-D14.

The facts are set to auto 1600ghz 1v , 4400ghz 1.27v stable

that's it no cons no bs just the facts .

have fun guys sure I have .
