Roccat Kone+ scroll wheel issue

Hey guys, didn't know where else to post this (OC3D really needs a peripherals forum!)

I recently bought my roccat kone+ gaming mouse off aria, it was working like a beaut until last week. The issue is the scroll wheel, its glitchy and whenever I scroll down a page somtimes it will scroll up, or not scroll at all. (Same issue when scrolling up) This is my first gaming mouse I've bought and I'm very disappointed to see it only working for a month or so

Any ideas on what could be the issue?

I did a little search and found this:

"I took the advice of icStatic and used WD40. I used simple 'masking tape' and taped up everything accept the space in between the left and right buttons. Then I just sprayed a little into the space on each side of the scroll wheel. It has been almost 6 months and I have not had a single problem since. Hope this helps all of you out."

Dont know if that will help you or not but i also read that this is a common problem with this mouse.

Thanks for the speedy reply and the advice

But I really don't want to be spraying oil into my mouse, I would give it a go, but I don't want to risk messing it up more or totally killing it, thanks for the information though

Thats ok thats one fix i read about also some people say to spray compressed are around the wheel which may fix it but as i said this seems to be a common problem. Your other option would be to get a new mouse or see if you can get a replacement for that one. I see you have a MMO keyboard i have the razer naga and thats a great mouse not just for MMOs but for everything.

Compressed air? Hmm will give that an attempt, and the Razer naga, haven't used that one before. Only reason I bought the kone is I had tried it out @ LITS 2011 and it felt pretty nice, If I need to exchange this mouse, Im thinking of getting a M90 as I already have the K90

Yh the K90 looks like a nice keyboard considering getting one my self not to sure about the M90 as i dont like the look of the button layout but i bet its a better made mouse than the naga only down side to the naga is that its not made very well and its picky on mouse mats. But good luck with your mouse hope i helped in some way.

I'll keep the naga mouse in mind and as for the M90, I dont like the button layout too, but by the looks of it, I think its pretty well built
