Roccat Kave Static Noise

You want 2 channels at 96Khz sample rate and 16-bit quality (max supported by the DG). Enable Dolby Headphone if you like. Roccat's site says the impedance is 10 Ohms but there's no option for that in my Audio Centre though your's may be different. Enable virtual surround too if you wish.

Asus software is atrocious btw

ive read online that people talk about enabling dolby headphone, but i cant seem to find that

, also i see the 96khz and 2channels but i dont see anything about 16-bit or 10 ohms in dg menu

but ty allready for helping me with this.

It's under the little hammer icon 'HP Advance Setting' for impedance (in first tab). The bitrate is not there, you need to set it in Windows or just leave it at default if you can't get that.

I know what it looks like

yeah i know, but i thought that maybe you could see some settings that arent right or maybe something that isnt normal.

and when i click on the hammer icon all i can tick is central/low tones exit, i have analog on 5.1 speakers since kave is 5.1. is that ok?

You tell me; if it plays back alright for you then just leave it

You should have a tickbox for it on the first pane/ tab. You'll also need to select 'Headphone' from the dropdown

You need to enable speaker shifter before it shows up

the problem is that that is FP headphone and i do not have this HS connected to the front panel since it uses 4 jacks and a usb..... so when i tick that it doesnt produce any sound whatsoever

There is an option for just 'Headphone' on mine, can't understand why there isn't on yours. Just leave it as 5.1 then

!!!

Higher impedance sounds better still but you'll never get tremendous quality in a headset. Seperate headphones and mic are the way to go for pure quality

true ^^ but one last question, will i this way be able to enjoy the real 5.1 surround in the headset? when its on the normal headset setting?

with regards

but my static noise still persists

meh ... roccat support told me that my GPU might create electromagnetic waves wich may create the sound. but if this is so then i dont know if i will be able to fix it.... because its allready in the pci slot that is the most far away from gpu

any help is much appreciated

with regards
