Roccat Kave Static Noise

but my static noise still persists
sad.gif
meh ... roccat support told me that my GPU might create electromagnetic waves wich may create the sound. but if this is so then i dont know if i will be able to fix it.... because its allready in the pci slot that is the most far away from gpu

any help is much appreciated

That's why I said to enable spread spectrums - they eliminate any EMI but can make overclocks unstable.

GPU is definately not the cause if spread spectrums are on.

I had the same problem as you, my kaves would make terrible static noise all the time.

I moved my sound card into another PCIe slot beneath the graphics card and it fixed the problem. I have a xfi titanium and a gtx 570 (Which is overclocked).

but i had it in the slot nearest to the gpu at first but then i moved it further away and that still didn't help

so i am pretty confused on what to do now. would buying a new motherboard fix this? since i hate mine because ive had issues with it from the start. or will an extended usb cable help?

RMA - which you just said.

aah ok it sounded like you suggested something else ^^, im gonna ask my money back and probably send my xonar dg back aswell since i dont like the sound it creates at all.. way to metally and echoe, and even after lots of settings i couldnt get that right... so f*ck that bitch XD

Get a pair of £80 or above Sennheisers and a £60 or above card

yeah ive seen those! look awesome... but in my opinion i find it insane to spend that amount of money on a gaming headset on wich i probably won't hear that much of a difference

or will I?

You will, they are basically headphones with a mic, nothing gimmicky.

I wouldn't go any higher than £112.99 for pair of headphones unless you're an audiophile really.

guys i ordered a corsair vengeance 1500, since i could get it for a nicee price and i heard very good things about it. but now i wondered would it give noticable delay in sound and mic when i put the usb in the usb hub on my monitor?

£40 - £100 card + £80 - £150 headphones/set (~10-40khz, 64ohm>)

If it's just a pass through? I don't see why it would
