[Request] Overclock Tutorial on 1366

Then what you going to do when it goes bandy in a month or so and you have no idea whats up?

nothing, that´s why i ask for advice to find the right/save configurations!

If you cba to learn it buy sandy bridge thats for n00bs or lazy bath-turds

I can totally understand your point as someone who is into this stuff. For me OCing my system is fundamental to getting my work done in time. So if i spend 4 days trying to OC my system and fail, I loose 8 days of my schedule because if i have to use my pc at stock speed i loose 4 days rendering time aswell.

Also I´m not someone who is lazy, i´ve allready read through all the guides i could find on the web but none of them were covering an MSI MB

The motherboard shouldn't make that much of a difference, it's more about understanding what each feature does. It's simply trial and error to get a stable system at a desired overclock.

You will need to learn your own kit as every chip is different. For instance an i7 950 at 4.2Ghz tend to need around 1.3-35v , my chip on the other hand needs at least 1.35 for 4Ghz.

I can't help with the 980x sorry as I have never clocked one

I find it rather amazing how some people treat other people in forums, I mean after all forums are a place were someone can ask for help right? So there for the way I see it there is no such thing as a dumb question! We all have to start somewhere and somehow, some of us might understand things better then others or be able to find information more easily then others. But the fact of the matter is no one should be punished for asking a question no matter how bad or good it is. We are all enjoy this hobby just the same no matter if you have been doing it for 2 days or 10 years. I think we are all guilty myself including of asking a dumb question in our lives and been ridiculed for it, remember how that felt?!?!?! Also remember that if you like it or not your a role model to someone out there and they probably look up to you a lot more then you think. I also think that when someone apologizes to you that you should at least have the respect to acknowledge there apology. Maybe I am full of it maybe I am right or wrong, but it dosent matter I just think we should all start treating everyone with a little more respect no matter there knowlege in any given area.

Ralm: If you havent found a guide already here is a good one to get you started my friend, it helped me out a lot and I hope it helps you out also!

Every one has to start some ware and this big headed parade of idiots who are just slating you is ridicules and pathetic.

Sort your attitudes out guys it stinks. Your acting like a pack of hyenas.

carry on this way and this forum will go down as fast as it rising.
