I'm replacing my ATI x800 GTO2 card with an Nvidia 7950GT to allow 3840 x 1024 resolution with a Triplehead2Go adaptor, anyone have any tips to clear the ATI files without a rebuild?

that driver clean thingy

uninstall drivers

reboot (safe mode maybe)

driver cleaner

reboot

install new card

reboot

install new drivers

I would shutdown before installing the new card. Otherwise :flames:

Yep, Driver Cleaner does exactly what it says on the tin. Works well for removing both video and sound card drivers (so make sure you choose the correct option :)).
