Hello guys,

I got a Thermaltake Toughpower 850w cable management edition. But the fan is extremely noisy. the specs of the fan are:
D14BH-12
140x140x25
12V
2800rpm
140.0CFM
48.5dB

I would like to know if someone already replaced the fan on this power supply with a silent fan and what fan has enough airflow to cool the PSU. Also i would like to know how to fan is connected to the PCB. Some fans i think maybe will work:

Aerocool Shark Fan 14cm Devil Red Edition
Noiseblocker BlackSilentPRO PK3
Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition
Scythe Slip Stream 140 PWM Adjustable VR

I hope to hear from you guys. Sorry for my bad english. I'm dutch:).

I am also going to replace the fan on my psu although it's a hale82.

Will keep you posted and tell you how it goes when the fan comes in the mail

I forgot I have changed a fan on a thermaltake toughpower 1000w before. I didn't pay any attention to what type of fan i should use and that's probably why it runs hot now but i can tell you that it is connected to a pcb by a connector that is similar to a fan header but a lot smaller and only has a hot and a ground wire

Ok so I have successfully replaced the fan in my hale82 with a gentle typhoon and it works perfect, temperature and all. just ask if you have any questions
