To those that have served Thankyou
To those that serve Thankyou

They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We shall remember them
Lest We Forget

God speed.

Sadly most of those who served are no longer with us. Quite sad when you think about it really :(

I've been very critical of Britain in recent years, but one of the things I will never criticize (Alongside the NHS) is how we go about doing our Remembrance ceremonies.

I've attended every parade in the past 8 years or so and will continue to do so. Will never stop respecting our forces, no matter where our government send them.

If you are ever feeling down on the UK I urge you to go and live in another country for a while. Believe me, you won't believe how good you had it.

I went to the USA and I found out a few things.

1. Where I lived you could lose your job at an time for any reason. There was no tribunals etc. Now in the USA if you get fired you can claim unemployment (the dole). If you walk out you get nothing. So what they used to do was basically lower your hours to the point you would have to quit.

2. The health system in the USA is all well and good, when you consider that in 2007 I was paying $480 a month for it. You also then pay a $15 co pay for every presription (monthly) and a $100 co pay just to visit the doctor. If you call an ambulance there is a $500 co pay. All of this on top of the $480 a month. And that did not include dental.

3. The Americans have to do all of their own taxes. If you screw up? you are in trouble.

And etc. Honestly, I could go on all day about how easy people in the UK have it. Most just don't know, some are just ungrateful inbred idiots. (Do note I do not put you in either of those categories).

Yes, the govt have basically opened the doors and given a good chunk of our country away but you will never stop the rich man and you will never stop greed. They do that for cheap labour so they can be richer.

We really need Labour back in charge. The poor and needy (and sick) are so much better off under them.

I love my country, and I absolutely love the NHS. I can go to the doc any time I need to, I get all of my head pills gratis and the waiting times are not so bad. At times I do despair, but such is the nature of the UK.

Rule Britannia, and all that stuff.

Aye, I don't doubt that we get it far easier than others, perhaps too easy sometimes. I'm mainly critical of the government not the country as a whole (Should have worded my original response better I will admit) and the way the tories are running everything right now is just downright embarrassing. I laughed about the inbreds, couldn't agree more! They're a major part of the problem as well as the greedy ones at the top.

In the US I would agree. Depending on where you live though it can be a mix of both though. Especially where I live. I think many people in most developed countries would agree about governments though.
