Remain(XFX 7950GX2) or change to XFX 8800GT?

Can someone tell me should i change my 7950GX2 to 8800GT? Today i downloaded the crysis demo and try it and i feel like my 7950GX2 like a craps...

It is totally up to you matey.. but the 8800Gt will be a nice performance boost and run Crysis a lot better.

At 1440x900 maxed out it is totally smooth.

But I do have a very stripped down windows and tweaks here and there.

But it is very smooth.

Check this thread, more infomation on how it runs on other peoples rigs.

Erm.. then i will try to make it SLI.. Since 8800GT more cheaper than GTS/X/Ultra...

Hopefully SLI will help you a bit. Allowing the second GPU to kick in.

Otherwise you could turn some of the graphical settings down in game, Crysis is a hard game to run.

I sold my XFX 7950GX2 on saturday and am buying hopefully a Zotec 8800gt AMP! edition 2moro night.

Since your looking to buy a gpu for crysis. Wait till mid november. That is when the new 9800 is coming out. Nvidia made it with crytek, this graphics card is supposed to be a god.

erm, then i just wait for the 9800. But anyone know about the price? and should i change my current motherboard? i am using Gigabyte-GA965PDQ6. On more question, where u all sell your graphic card? the 7950GX2 should sell how much?

SLI doesnt work yet for crysis but you forget that its a beta/demo. When full version comes out it will be fine.

Yeah I read the whole thing... Pretty good read. I imagine there will be some new drivers for it though at some point?

Yeah there`s bound to be some kind of either upd8 for the mobo to recognize the card or simply sli driver upd8 to cover it.

But as far as immediately buying 2 and wanting immediate passion, there could be issues for people. >.<

This is true...

Tis all fine and dandy for me though... Offloading my BFG 320 OC2 for £155 and buying a GT for the same price (hopefully)
