Redline @ OC3D F@H Prop's & Bragging Thread..

Swapped out the 2600K with the 3770K @ 4.8ghz, added maybe another 5000PPD, (Except the wifes brother is back from college and staying with us, and gaming on it all day) I wanted to hit 100,000PPD a few more times this last month but WU's aren't cooperating.

I'm 90% sure I can get this 3770K at 5Ghz stable. I popped the IHS off and doing direct die contact with the water block but the die is convex. Depending on block placement I get 2 or 3 cores at 72C full load, and 2 or 1 at 82C, re-positioning the block and the results switch vice versa. This is with LinX linpack, folding doesn't push the temps on any core past 68C so I'm content with leaving it. I debate lapping the core, I did numerous A64's but those dies were larger and more square, this Ivy Bridge is very rectangle and small. It's harder to keep and even pressure.

4.8Ghz and working is better than lapped and dead.

Haha so very true! It's a good 12C cooler then with the IHS on, so probably will stop while ahead. I've done so many die, it's actually hard to kill them if you use the right process. Kind of relaxing work actually, listen to some music, and lap for an hour or two, come back later and do it some more, it's a slow process. The problem here actually is that extreme rectangle shape, you can't help rounding the very edge when you lap but doing it poorly and you end up with worse temps then had you just left it alone.

This thing is flying through the work units though.

My 3930k is up and running.Installed ubuntu linux client and got a 6901 to start with.
TPF at 15m13s  ,100k ppd calculated with Fah bonuspoint calculator

PPD on my 580 has sky rocketed today, 46,500!
Projects are all 8020, anyone else getting something similar?

No dude, that is insane. I'm getting around 27K on my 580. PPD on my 2600k is on 15K and I think the GPU WU's have something to do with it as I normally average around 20K on my 2600K with the GPU folding at around 25K PPD.

Its calmed back down now to 27K on another 8020. Must have been a glitch :p

I suddenly am getting credit of 16000 per WU on a 7084 project... My Estimated PPD is sitting at 145841 right now. Probably a glitch - but would be nice to break the 100,000 points barrier in a day!

Well, if its a glitch, its one that worked out in my favor - I'm over 100K PPD today! (props, brag, applause, whoot!)

Hopefully continue to get more of these 7084's!

Kilobravo had a 620,000 point day the other day(congrats), I could only pull 613,000 :(

Dang...I tried.

Virtualbox Virtual Machine, Ubuntu 11.10. 3.0.4 Kernel that I compiled with BFS scheduler. Decided to try the V7 -bigadv client, keep it all GUI. About 2 min slower TPF then I estimated.

Did try several ubuntu installs before, and decided to use 11.04 and just install 6.34 client on my i7-970 and i7-3930k.Tpf on the 970 is 45m15s at 4.2ghz and 34m10s on 3930k at 4.4ghz,both folding the wu6903.
