Recommended Thermal paste for a GT

I was wondering if those thermal paste are really suitable for such low temperatures.

What are you using? What's the best? AS3/AS Ceramique/ AS5 ? Others?

Ceramique is a lot more thick than AS3 which is almost liquid. Don't know for AS5.

Thanks for the feedback.

use as ceramique for phase change mate...

in fact i am only using as ceramique...it is optimised for a lot lower temps compared to as 5

down to -150C if i am not mistaken...

its 100% NON conductive too ;)

Application of ceramique - What do people do? I put a small blob on the heat spreader and leave it at that. I used to smear a thin layer over the entire surface but I found out this was wrong.

yes thats what i do too

i used to spead it too :D

its supposed to be better with a small blob

it eliminates any air getting trapped while spreading by yourself the thermal paste...so you let the two surfaces do it for you while in contacting each other...

the less you use the better it is....

I used ot blob but now I spread with a plastic bag on my finger. Doesn't really make much difference as far as I can tell. Like you said just use very little.
