Recommend me a router

Hi there :oc3d:!
So a long story short: We're finally modernizing.
When our old TV downstairs died, we decided to get a new HD TV, a LG 37" one.
When we were at that store, there was someone of our current provider: UPC.
He told us about Digital TV and faster internet. We decided to get 150MB/s with one of the best digital TV packages; Free Film 1 (on demand) and 100+ channels. We're even getting a laptop and an iPad for downstairs (has to be an iPad, we can't watch TV on android or Windows RT).
Problem is, we can't decide on a new router. My uncle immediately said; Linksys e4200. But we can't get it anywhere.
We're thinking of an ASUS RT-n66u, but since we're also getting a router from the UPC, we're also thinking of trying that first.
Any routers you guys recommend?
Cheers!

I have the Asus AC66U which is the same as the Asus n66U but it has 802.11ac while the n66U doesn't.

I love this router, it is rock solid stable, the firmware is completely open source with great community support (Google Asus Merlin Firmware to see what I mean).

Tons of features, enormous range, great throughput.

So in my opinion buy either the Asus AC66U or the N66U. Can't go wrong with either of them really.

Thanks mate :)
We're getting the faster internet today, between 12AM and 6PM GMT+1 a service man will come to install everything. So within 2 hours he should be here :p
We're going to use the router from UPC for a while, and if it's not good enough, we're getting the ASUS RT-n66u :)

I use Billion all the dropouts I used to suffer just don't happen anymore just the best modem/router I've ever owned, and I've used D-Link, Linksys/Cisco, Netgear and this thing just wipes the floor with all of them. It's worth paying the small amount more for.
