Edit: Balls! Quiet fans is what I mean of course.
Hi,
I'm in the process of spec'ing up my WC parts and wanted some advice regarding fans.
I will be using a pair of Alphacool NexXos Monsta 360 80mm thick rads in an external chassis. Likely I will only use PUSH on these rads to keep the noise down.
The array of available fans is bewlidering to say the least. I need to ensure I pick the right fan for the job, so one that has good static pressure to get through an 80mm rad while remaining at low-rpm to keep the noise down. I'm NOT getting a fan controller so want a fan that will do the job at 12v. However if the fan comes with a 7v reducer too then it'd be an option I'd considert, though I'm trying to keep things tidy. If the fans cables are braded nicely it will of course make things much neater.
I've been using Alpenfohen fans in my case and they are strong and quiet, however when put on a rad (I have an Antech Kuhler 620 currently) they are VERY noisy when running above 50%.
Any advice appreciated.
