Questions about Case Lighting

its not just about having a front panel bay, i just would rather be able to change my LEDs without having to use a physical machine. putting in the back would be even worse for this.

i just got an H100i, and being able to change the RGB via software is very cool. if i could do this with my entire case lighting (when i get some) that would be awesome.

The only thing I have found software controlled is large for like a night club and one unit that is a big LED lamp that is controlled by software. The price range was $200.00 up to thousands.

Some people have been playing with the Arduino boards and connecting them via the serial port and writing software to control a single RGB LED. One guy is on Instructables at:

There are systems that are built to control Christmas lights via software, but it isn't RGB. Also getting a whole system set-up is costly.

with the ardiuno you just have to set them up in parallel and then you could have many running, all you need to do is find the strips.
or as i said the corsair link with the lighting and fan nodes, there is a minour problem with it not seeing the pump ... nut the pump is set up to run on full anyway so just set it to the colour/ colours you want then use the commander link to change the leds which it comes with 3 rgb strips. all for about 90 quid if you order from corsair direct inc additional tax.
but another plus is it comes with 3 probes for temp and a 5 fan controller unit which can use the splliters when using your rad fans
