With a bit of practice, I cld land a MEC plane on the USA boat, blow up their shit, and fly the FK out of there with the same plane, as long as they didnt blow it up .

If planes are that good, what sort of AA weapons are featured in bf2?

Planes are hard to fly IMO. But choppa's are fun

I've always been a big fan of CoD (and now CoD2) but if you prefer to play online then battlefield 2 is probably a good one to go for.

The great thing about BF 2 is everything has a counter. Choppers beat armour, armour beats ground forces, planes beat choppers but usually suck at everything else. Ground forces can beat everything with tactics, i.e. using medics and being in squads for quick respawns.

I really don't have a problem with being killed by choppers. When you hear them, hide. They will just fly off looking for more obvious targets like tanks! Unless they have a gunner they are no threat at all and even then it's 50-50 if the gunner has any skill. All they can use is the rockets that have very little splash damage.

Then again, I've only played on public servers.

As far as realistic to fly, I would say it's a bit better than an arcade flight experience... It's definately not the easiest thing in the world, but then there's nothing to worry about like landing gear, flaps, any of that stuff... Just flight

Choppers are pretty discouraging when u first start out, i bought a gamepad to fly choppers with and it's improved my skill x 10.

Did anyone play Desert Combat for BF1? The one thing that BF2 lacks is a A10 Warthog. Those things were crazy in Desert Combat, also they're a lot slower than the fighters in BF2 so they work better on the maps. No flying from one end to another in seconds, constantly turning in a circle.

really depends what you are in the mood for, I often prefer Far Cry because I find it more enjoyable than some parts of COD, but all the comments so far sound like good advice
