Question regarding non-PWM fan header.

Hi,

I'm looking to buy some new case fans.

Having recently upgraded to an X99 system I purchased the MSI X99A Gaming Pro motherboard. The fan headers on this motherboard are not PWM controlled.

I was wondering if I plugged PWM fans into the headers whether I'd still be able to control the speed of the fan in the BIOS or if they'd spin at 100% all the time?

You can control in the BIOS in the Hardware Monitor section or do the same thing using the Command Center software in Windows.

I have 4x Corsair PWM's all controlled via temp thresholds and choosing what RPM to run them at when they reach temps like 40, 50, 60C etc.
