Purchases you now regret

We've all been there at one point in our lives. We've brought something we originally thought was going to be great, and it was great... for a short while, then it bites you in the ass. I remember buying endless amounts of tacky in-ear headphones for a fiver that lasted about a month each time. I also brought a netbook (i know, ewwwwwww

) ages ago when they were first introduced... yeah it's a slow piece of shit and netbooks are dead now. Luckily it was a really cheap one, so i didn't waste as much money as others did. Tbh, i have no idea why i brought one in the first place.

So, what purchases do you guys regret making?

To replace the front fan on my 650D with an LED one i bought an NZXT 200 mm fan. Its was supposed to be 200mm by 25mm, but it turned out to be 190mm by 30mm. It forced me to mount it off center and it also forced me to move my HDD cage closer to my PSU which messed up my cable management. That was annoying. Eventually just replaced it.

I agree with this, i do play mine now and again but not as much as before. Sometimes stare at and think 'why did i spend over £300 on you'

Might take it down to the living room, so it can be used a blu-ray player.

I also regret buying special edition games for the ps3 as most of them i don't even play any more, it just i had the money at the time of release

Definately going to get rid of PS Move as i dont use it at all

PS3 that has not been used for over a year now, cheap tacky headphones that stop working after a month and a HP laserjet printer that is not as fast as was stated on the website. I can't think of any more atm.

lol, I bought it for the GoW games. Played the first two and couldn't be bothered playing the third and left the PS3 alone after that :/

That's all I bought mine for as well, but I did play through all 3. I use my PS3 almost daily though with Netflix and PS3MediaServer. I've been going through all my DVDs and ripping them to my home server to stream to the PS3. It makes a great media viewer.

I bought a ps3 for mgs4 alone lol. Mine blew up last week so im going to make a cell processor/nvidia reality synthesizer hybrid keyring lol

Then buy a new ps3slim so i can play all the mgs games over again and uncharted. Its gonna be epic. Might trade in some old crappy games while im at it save a few

I did the same, massive Uncharted and MGS fan

. Bought all three Uncharted games and completed them 2 times trying to get all trophies

Also bought the MGS HD collection and MGS4

I did buy the COD hardened edition but only since it comes with elite for a year and other stuff plus i play it with friends and family so i don't regret buying it as much as i use to before

Phenom 9650

Mainly because of how close I bought it to Phenom II arriving (didn't do my research) and the lack of easy upgrade path. Another part of the reason I ended up splashing out on X79.

That said, it's still running as a second rig, and still performs not too badly. Got it set up as a spare video editing rig, and it renders stuff fairly quickly. Doesn't struggle with 720p at all, unlike the crappy old G5 PowerMac I was struggling with! (not mine, guy who I am editing for got it because "it's what professionals use" (sic)

Worth every penny

Another thing i regret buying is Need For Speed The Run. That game is the worst driving game i've ever played.

I also kinda regret buying my phone. It's worth about a fiver now, but it's lasted a long time and i pretty much never use it anyway so i cant be bothered to get a new one.
