Project: White Destroyer

If you say, it isn't good, then it's fine with me, if you say, " ahh maybe you can do it better", I don't mind, I will listen, if you give me advice or so, I'll consider it. But what Pexon did, is just break me down in to pieces, which is harrassing....snipped

Dude, he was far from harassing. Part of the point of new modders posting project logs (imo) is for people with more experience to point out how things could be done better or to offer a different viewpoint. Getting defensive whenever someone offers constructive criticism sort of defeats the purpose.

It was all forgotten and past, but now you mention it again, and he could have helped me by just giving me a tip ( i didn't think it was constructive criticism), as I said before, really stop with these comments (you are screwing up the whole modlog), he is now helping me and I thank him for that. Jesus Christ!

There is a word in Flemish that we have for you "Doordrammer" or "Zager"

*I'm* screwing up the whole mod log?

Maybe stop acting like an asshat and you won't have people disagreeing with you?

I will like that video, have never done sleeving my self and will be nice to know it :D

Indeed, didn't do it much either, that's why it's not yet that good my sleeving, I hope he posts it here. You should check out is mod, his sleeving is superb!

Hi man, I already have a little video of how to sleeve without shrink tubing... I cannot find my tripod at the moment, so excuse me whilst I try and bodge something up to make the video with!

Okay warning understood sir. Sorry for this it was getting out of hand, and since I am the threadstarter I take full responsibility.

@Pexon:
So you already have a video on youtube? Could you give me your youtube name then?

Dude, I can't find my tripod, be patient I'll try and sort something out

I was being patient, I just asked for your youtube account name. But how do you then sleeve a pump cause I don't think it's good that you set your pump on fire. But I'll give it a try (the other things I want to sleeve) when I have the time, but the case has now it's priority because else I have to wait longer with getting everythin in.

I LOVE the paintjob :) You'll find as you learn/practice more and more, little things will jump out at you, and you will be able to improve them :) This is way better than my first few rigs so you're off to a good start :)

Update

So here is the update.

So first things first.

I was trying to fit in my rad and I came to the conclusion that I had to remove a piece of metal of the 800D, so I did it quickly.

cHJEe.jpg

At the end I bended the piece in the middle up and placed a piece of dark red acrylic on it with a hole in it for the tubing to go through so it wouldn't be wobbling around.

Of course as I said the last update, the pci brackets were drying.
And now they are a longtime dry so here they are.

8RdC6.jpg

I need to paint 2 more brackets and then the back is full, or maybe i don't need to paint 2 more if I'm going SLI ........

The case in it's white glory, thank god it's not standing in the snow, cause you will never find it ...

DF80I.jpg

Piece of aluminum needs to be sawed for this cause the original one is garbage!

tQKMG.jpg

The powerbutton on the white aluminum that's going to be mounted in front of the red acrylic from the last update.

Really nice red glow.

At some point I went nuts with the red acrylic. How would the case look if it was red?

Red

White

Red white

I also had to make the plate to rise the res a little bit up because of the bars on the midplate that I forgot to remove/grind off. It looks so nice! I really love the dark red, maybe in the future all the UV plexi is going to be replaced by this one, if I have the money.

The red line looks awesome!

I installed the pci brackets, this is enough if I'm going SLI.

SORBd.jpg

I also made a plate for the top of the case, you could say it's an anti-dust plate. And it has a nice effect and does hinder the fans a little which results in less noise.

SmTZH.jpg

So I placed 2 red led xigmatek fans quickly in the top to see how the effect would be.

Nice right?

pUwxA.jpg

When I left my room, and looked back, I saw this and I said to myself, that needs a picture.

eZQtN.jpg

I also made a revision of the ledcover for the 670, cause I saw that the dark red does filter a lot of light. So I made one out of the dark red material of darkness muahahaha.

So V2.0, I know the engraving isn't the best but I have a lot of acrylic left so I could just make a couple more untill i'm satisfied.

So that's it for this update, I'm going to test an other glue on some acrylic next week, cause the day after I made the video, and I did some hot water in the glued together pieces, it was leaking, and then did some cold water in it and it stopped. Also under water it doesn't let air true so, sometimes it's good sometimes not, but I'm not taking the risk, so on to another glue.

Here is a video about some of the things mentioned above.

See you next update!

And maybe by Phobya, they want to send me their Phobya Touch fan controller, I hope they still want to do that regardless that I live in Belgium.

So here I am with the update, it's a small one. Almost everything can be seen in the video I think, but still here are the pictures.
And the system is still running fine, no problems at all.

So in return of the bended panel of aluminium, I got something in return.

I saw that the EX360 Rad only came with 12 screws so I needed 12 more. And I also ordered a temperature sensor, cause then I had the full value of the panel back.

So thanks It-service, Eddy, you're the man!

I also prepared the radiator for installment.
I have watched a video of Ronsonut on youtube and he said that it's best that you clean the rad first by washing it with water (on the inside of course). So that's what I did. And then I installed the fans.

(The first fans are on!)

MAXIMUM ILLUMINATION!

And for the fans that were sitting against the case (so you could see them on the outside and you could see that mega colour sticker) I removed the mega colour sticker and replaced it by just a white self-cut sticker.

What I also did, is beginning to make the "cage" for the ssd and where on top the pump is going to be placed. Only the topplate is going to need some cutting, because of tubing and fittings that are going from the res to the pump, so I left that one off. Then I drilled the holes for the SSD and voila, the finished product you can see here.

Then I putt in the rad, which was a tuff job, the fans were always moving around, so I glued them together and then sticked them to the rad with some garbage white stickers so they would stay in place. And finally I got the rad in.

With cover.

Without cover.

How it looks now.

iSbIo.jpg

I have putt some stuff on top of the cover cause because of the airflow produced by 6 fans, it was always shaking, I'm probably going to stick some magnets to it so it stays on the screws.

And then some final shots of the cablemanagement that isn't there :).

I haven't putt on the sidepanel on the motherboardtray's side and of course the front panel isn't on either, cause it isn't finished cause I can't paint because it's to cold, I need a heater.

Here is the videomodlog:

So that's it for this update,

Stay tuned for more and again thanks Eddy! And I will let you know when the fancontroller gets here, if they are still giving me one.
