Project: White Destroyer

Update

So here we are with the update, I said was coming.

Been engraving in some plexi last week.
It's not yet the best but it's getting there. Just need a smaller engraving cutter, but the store that has that is closed
It opens back next week.
Here are the results of my experiments:

I also made a cover in red plexi for the green leds that are on the pcb of the GTX670 (they don't fit my colour scheme)

You can see the leds are greenish

Don't know yet if the result will be good, but I will see it this weekend.

My Maximus V Formula and i7 3770K arrived yesterday, hoooraaay!!
I do have to say the V is heavier then my old III.

Update

A small update for today.

Mounted everything on my selfmade benching case/table.
Made some pictures of this and also installed windows 7 on the Crucial M4.

Never say "download the latest drivers and throw the driver disk away!" (like Linus) cause this Windows 7 button rocks! And there are pretty cool wallpapers on the DVD too, maybe gonna post them later, they are really really cool!

So as you can see, it looks fantastic!
The stock intel cooler is installed just for comparison too the Mugen 2 and later too the custom watercoolingkit.

However, I am not very satisfied of the red plexi on the green leds, there is a big difference in colour but you can still see a bit of green coming through (maybe not visible on picture but in real life it is) So going to look for an other solution, maybe cover the whole thing up, cause I'm afraid of soldering other leds on the pcb.

Also made an unboxing of the 3770K :p

That's it for today, see you next time!

@wassupdoc: Thanks for the tip, did make it flush, but didn't make a picture of it.

Liking the bench though :)

Aren't the pictures automaticaly sized down? And it's only the first 3 pictures or so, the next ones I did make smaller.

I have a small update for you guys.

The accessoires from dremel came in yesterday. Of course I already tested them.
These are the ones I bought:
http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Accessories/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=105
http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachments/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=678-01

The 105 engraving tool, I couldn't use cause of the wrong collets in my possession.
But I did try the Circlecutter tool.

So as you can see, the circles aren't actual circles. I have been looking at some video's on youtube and maybe I was too quick with sawing. But we have a saying in Belgium " Oefening baart kunst" which means when you practice a lot, eventually it will be good.

For the rest, nothing really happened, cause I need to study for school, I didn't pass my first examination so I have to do it again. But I have been making some video's on youtube, in the free time left (not yet edited cause my G74SX had an error so I returned it to the shop and I normally do all that stuff on the G74SX so....) about cooling on the 3770K (testing of the stock cooler vs the Mugen 2 with one fan, two fans and no fans, I am not going to say all the results but some are already mentioned above I think)

And I didn't yet order the plexiglass cause I am still thinking about the size of the reservoir, and it is easier for me to order it all in one time.

That's it, see you next update!
