update
So here we are with a little update.
I tried again cutting a circle with the Dremel, and it went better this time. I had some garbage acrylic from my father's work, for practicing the art with the dremel.
I also made an other sketch of the res, cause the first one is not good. The part on the motherboards side is too thin/small, so I'm just going to make a big cut out.
My current setup

So that's it for today. Tomorrow I'm going to see what I have to buy for the watercooling setup and what I still need for modding, and then it's shopping time.

So here is a small update, cause one of my orders came in, still waiting on the order with most of the watercooling stuff.
So here are some pics of the stuff I have:
the order that came in from Caseking (thx for the candy by the way):
2 times a 500mm on 500mm acrylic panel to make the reservoir.
Power switch (red illuminated ring)
Just installed the button for fun it's not going to be placed there, but you will see soon enough what my ideas are.
Cables for the power switch, probably gonna sleeve it white or red.
T-Block for a temperature-mesurement-intersection (TMI)
Temp. sensor

Fittings I bought second-hand (Is that the correct term in English? for something you bought from someone that had used it before?)

Also my mother went to Ikea and bought a Dioder set (led strips in Swedish I guess) and I tested them on the ROG logo, but I'm not going to use them in the build/mod, maybe in my room, we'll see.
As you can see, the top of the case is removed, this is cause the white wasn't the same as the white of the other panels, so I started painting it again.
So as mentioned before, let's start with the reservoir, I hope it works, cause it would be sooooo nice.
All the other watercooling stuff is probably coming next week, don't know when, but I hope next week. Also school starts next week so less time for modding,
And not to forget, I finally have a sponsor.

So that's everything I bought, I do like every single thing, now it's time to get started! And nothing seems broken, so thank you It-service.be for the good packaging, if you guys wouldn't do that everything might have been beaten up! And also thank you for sponsoring.
So I did some other things too.
As you maybe have seen, the NZXT Led strip kit, had a pci bracket for on/off switch and brightness control knob. So you can change the brightness at the back of your pc. But that wasn't good enough for me so I made this:
NZXT Led kit has a PCI slot bracket, I made something better!
A little bit not-straight, but it'll do just fine.
I made a bottom 6,1 by 4,1 cm just like the PCB of the module, no actually a little bit bigger (the PCB is 6 by 4) and then because the pins the pcb had on the bottom, I couldn't screw it down on the plate, so I made some acrylic "stand-offs" where the screws could be mounted on. And then just a little bit of glue and voila you get this bad ass baby, i really like it.
And of course 2 kits so 2 pcb's so 2 times the modding fun! The second one was a little bit better, it was straighter.
The two lamptron ledstrips on fire!
Twin leds on! I know it's a blury picture, but that white one was so f***ing bright! I almost went blind.
The top installed on the pump and....
.... of course I putt on the fittings and.....
...... I sleeved the cables red and white!
I also repainted the top panel of the 800D and now the colour is much better than before, it's a perfect match to the side panels.....
.....as you can see here.
I also finally putt on the window on the sidepanel, it's really clear.
And as you can see, a small strip of aluminium is mounted below the window so you cannot see the PSU,.... But the colour doesn't match so gotta paint that one too, but at the moment the weather in Belgium doesn't allow me to do so.

Have you thought about buying LED strips then crimping them yourself? That is what I do now it is MUCH cheaper. I bought 50cm blue LED strips from eBay for about $2.5 each, crimped them and put some connectors on them. Total cost was around $3 per LED strip.

Yes i thought of that first, but since I didn't have any experience with that I thought lets buy some strips first, to see how they look and eventually when I need more from now, I will try to do it myself. Cause we are now having electronics at school and there we will learn how to make such things, so...

Super easy to crimp the LED's because they already come with the 5v (red wire) and ground (black wire) attached so just buy some fan pins, power connector, squish the fan pins onto the wires, put the pins into the connector and BAM, you now have a fully functioning LED strip
I had NEVER done it before and it was super easy. I really didn't have anything to lose because they were so cheap anyway.

Thats not the point of modding, if you cant see it, it still needs to look good, I've spent so much time on my sleeving, but 80% of it isn't even going to be seen. I've had this argument before.... Have pride in your work, there is no point doing a half-arsed job
