Project: SR-2

so do you just hand bend with a block, or use heat and air pressure to keep it from collapsing? I guess I get pretty aggressive with bends sometimes so I always pressurize my lines before I bend.

All you need is one of these.

I think I will stick to my old school methods, but that looks pretty handy for the small stuff (I'm usually bending tubing for off road 4x4s roll cages)

Thats a different kind of fabrication and a different material,im a plumber by trade...this is what i do,you wont get a clean 90 using sand or a bending spring.

Well.....it didnt go quite to plan,i was hoping to do all the cutting with the plexi and the alu together....

u did well m8.
cutting acrylic is smelly and messy
I would wear socks and shoes when drilling , cutting etc if I were u

You saw my sexy compression socks eh?
I had a blood clot in my leg,now i have to wear them everyday for the next 2 YEARS!
I was on warfarin for 6 months prior...that was the worst experience of my life!! Horrible side effects.

only way to go is shrinkless.. i did it with mine, looks so much better imo. looking good so far, gonna be a epic build when up and running, i didnt say finished because we all know why, ;) hehe

Made a start on some braiding...shrinkless of course.
Had to take a file to my ATX tool tho, works like a charm now.

You can see where i need to take more off the plexi....may make a change here and go for a true red instead of fluro.
The back of the plexi will be frosted to return more light and i have yet to drill the LED holes...

Not bad for a friday morning tho....
