I have been going nutts the last couple of days. I keep changing my design over and over.

I have to focus on finishing in a week or so. I have decided to keep it close to BadA$$s design with a few mods.

Mabye H20, still not sure

And the PS I bought has 3 seperate external controls for voltages so I was thinking about 3 Digital volts gauges(with each controller next to it) built into the front.

Also trying to see if there is room for the TT MediaLab too.

EDIT:

Because of Kemp and AIs recommendaitons Its gonna be ALL alum.

Now you guys need to help me pick out color, Painted, Powdercoated or Anodized?

yes go with alu would proboly look nicer, h/e perforated metal would give it better perfromance, its all u wanna do markkleb

My new toy showed up, This is soooooo cool being able to dial whatever voltage I want.... I think its a option from PC Power&Cooling.

Also I have been working on my fan for the Video Cards, I have to laugh, its not bad enough spending $29 on a fan, but to then spend hours massaging and rebuilding it is nutts. Well it does look cool:cool:

remote rail adjustment pots, now that is sick... IIRC PCP&C doesn't offer that as a factory deal, that's something the previous owner did on his own, VERY sweet.

Its hard to find but here is the special part# T51X-PO Turbo-Cool 510 Pots. They are on sale for $229(I thought $55 was a LOT for my Silverstone, lol)

(they even use the right color wire on each pot, yel for 12V,red for 5V and Orange for 3.3V)

http://www.pcpower.com/specials/

I heard its a $90 option.

I put my volts gauge on the lines and turn the controls and you can raise/lower the levels .01V at a time. This should be standard on all PS.

Thanks Guys,

well I got bored, than I got out my Dremel and cut its ears off:eek:

Than I took the fan apart to smooth out the blade.

Than I got out my belt sander and ground off as much as I could.

Now the hard part, hand sanding in a circle followed by a coat of Body Filler (bondo)

Than more sanding followed by a coat of Spot Putty.

More sanding followed by 4 coats of primer, more sanding, more primer.

Than a base coat of metalic silver, light sanding (600Grit)

Than top coat of DupliColor Metalcast paint called Red Anodized, light sanding (1000grit)

Than 3 coats of clear.

Thats just a fan, that should give you some idea why custom paint jobs cost so much $$.

Mark, I never thought these words would pass my lips, but that fan is beautiful! It's that kind of effort that makes your customisation sublime!

Looking forward to this project
