Saw it a while back on a youtube review saying that fractal are looking into doing a windowed side panel Cant remember who the reviewer was for the life of me. Time to search my latest videos and back this up lol

If the side panel does come i'll be defo buying the r3 or r2

Its just that as this case is build with the silencers in mind - putting a window in there sort of flies in the face of that - unless its double glazed.

If Fractal would release a version of the R3 and XL without the soundmatt, then I could see them offering a windowed side.

That sound matting is some pretty impressive stuff. Even the foam in the front panel helps quite a bit. It's much more quiet with the front panel shut than it is open.

I have it at a happy medium with some custom Q-Fan profiles that I really enjoy. Unless I'm torture testing or doing some really serious gaming, the fans are nearly inaudible.
