The first box of rebuild parts showed up today to include the Sabertooth and 2 HD 6870's. Silver Arrow came last week. Fractal R3, 1090T, and PSU are slated to arrive tomorrow.

Let the rebuild begin!

The board doesn't have the armour like the P67 version right?
 
Nope unfortunately no armor.

I'd rather have the armour off and let it get cooled by the air moving in case. Although, it does look pretty cool with the armour.

She's alive! And this new mobo is the dogs dangles.... 4.2ghz IBT stable right out of the box @ 1.5vcore max 55*c w/ the silver arrow. This is some good stuff folks.

Oh yeah Asus didn't give me a damn Crossfire bridge, just an SLI bridge so I have a Crossfire bridge on order. Hopefully it will come tomorrow and I can test these 6870's out!
 
I know you're not bothered by the noise, but just out of interest - how good is that case at keeping those 6 hdd quiet?

I honestly don't hear them at all.... Might be because they are drown out by the Ultra Kaze @ the back, lol. BUT.... This case is IMPRESSIVE with noise reduction. It's honestly very quiet even with the Ultra Kaze and the 2 110CFM Slipstreams in the front @ full blast. I am really really impressed. I couldn't fit the intake fan on the floor like I had wanted and left the top slots covered with the insulation which I am sure is helping greatly with the noise.

LOVE THIS CASE! Thanks for the suggestion on the case CocaCola.

The case and the Silver Arrow should be keeping everything cool enough even without the top fans. I now understand what you mean by being a hard drive hog. Love the God Mode on the desktop. Your ears have already adjusted to the noise levels or you may actually be going deaf.....I'm joking.

I would have thought Sapphire would include a regular Crossfire adapter in their boxes? Srange....
