i have decided to change which side of the tv/fireplace my desk is. the construction will be similar to my current setup, 3x2 batton to the walls all round, and 25mm mdf as a surface, painted.
this is what i have now


this is where im going


and this is what im aiming for,


monitors are not to scale... but you get the idea,

sorry for the bad pics, one was drawn and the other ones are with a phone

ok, so only £90 in mdf and paint, and here we are so far,

support frame up.



2255 mdf in situ and cut to size, edges sanded etc,



painted with 2 coats of primer and now ready for the black satin top coat, this will have to wait a few hours as i want to make sure primer is totally dry before painting, as the black paint takes 16 hours to set, want to make sure it is right


just hoping this paint combo is gonna be nice and tough,
