Project Mountain Dew (pics to follow)

Sorry boys no temps yet as I didnt get a chance to test the two stages running together reason being I only had one run cap but I did pick two up late this afternoon and will do a run monday even if it is just a r134 stage 1 and r507/co2 stage 2 :) should be seeing -100 :)

So close yet so far I am struggeling to hit -100 but here is a quick pic

Will do once I get it a bit more stable CO2 is a bugger to work with I may end up regassing a few more times before I am happy with it

If I get info on my R23 soon I may hold off the big fx57 test until I get that but if I hear nowt then I will just test with what I got

Nice :D

Once you get the R23 you're after, I'm pretty sure that will be your 'normal' unloaded temp with that setup mate!

Seeing you get your -100c piccy makes it all worth it. Including the 4am phone calls for tech support hehehe

Very pleased with that result, I'm really looking forward to how it turn out when you're done :D

Quick update I have retunned and tested the unit under my 210W heatload at -80 idle which is more useable/realistic I get -65 under load I am not overly impressed but have been told this is not too bad for CO2

I found a small leak on my evap head after cleaning it up (that will learn me to shave it too fine) so I had to remove and re braze it.

Then I thought what the hey I will stick a sight glass on the first stage and a couple of switches, I still havent decided on a temp display/programmer so switches it is for now makes the cascade a little more user friendly.

At the moment I am vaccing the second stage again then I will charge and retune it

Pics will follow

Nice one, good that you found that, will save a fair bit of grief. May also be why the temps are a little on the high side.

Looking forward to that, I'm hoping to see you play with it on your FX mate :D

Yeah I realy need R23 lol but looking at the sight glass I have a full liquid head when I kick the second stage in getting only mid -20's I might have the seond stage to charged with CO2 and not enough 507 grrrrrrrrr its hard to get a good mix but I was hitting -102 so??

Well still not totaly finnished but here's a pic with some switches and mesh I havent got a controler to use yet I may shove a mach display in it :)

Agreed :D

Why is the cooling head sticking out the back? If it were to go underneath another MM case, would it not be better to have it exiting the top of the case?

Great job, the polished finish is a lot better than the standard ally.
