[Project Log] PARVUM FORMULA (custom one-off Parvum S2.0)

Those Parvum cases are so sweet! I did see one slight knock against them though that makes me curious. Jayz2cents did a build in one, and he mentioned being uncomfortable about transporting/shipping a rig in that case. I'm guessing since these cases don't have the same skeleton frame structure a PC case has, and being thin acrylic, they're more susceptible to breaking if they take a very bad bump. Nature of the beast I suppose, but that doesn't stop me from wanting one!

I don't know if you ever tried to break a sheet of 5mm Acrylic but I can assure you it's not thin and Parvum's are structurally sound. Attending LAN's is what they do best! And unless you drag them across your desk like a chimp they will sit quite happily on it. I've no idea what Jayz2cents was thinkng, or if he was even thinking. Also the VEER1.0 he had isn't particularly small, there is more room for cables than most cases in production.

Honestly JayZ2cents is wack. Looks like an extreme drug user too but meh whatever.

That case does look pretty darn sexy.. wish I had money for one:p

Ahh man, making me want to re-build my rig into a Parvum!

nice work!

Thanks mate :D

Yup, it's really nice. I will have to get it outside and take some better pics of it under some daylight. It does look stunning. I will work on getting the vinyl work done on the case soon :).

God that motherboard looks stunning! Even that badge replacement turned out really nice I must admit! :)

Awesome work, can't wait for more updates! :)

Thanks a lot mate :D

Yea these cases are rock solid and barely any flex at all or anything when I try to move it from one corner to another. If you guys have been following my 250D build log, that case when naked has more flex than the Parvum. I mean yea sure if you give it a good bump or drop it, you can damage it, but that's just like any other case.

I generally like JayzTwoCents think he's a nice guy and makes some good videos, but sometimes his comments can be a bit off. And he's getting way to much attention with his build, but I guess he's addressed that. Just what YouTube does for you. I have had people PM me about building them a custom PC and with a pic of Sunkworks attached telling me they want it to look like that lol :P

Agreed, once you see some of the builds that are out there, Skunkworks looks borderline amateur. Especially compared to the crazy scratch builds you see on Bit-tech. But for noobs that haven't seen water cooled rigs before, it looks nice enough.

I should say now that he only mentioned being nervous about shipping a system in it. He never got specific. It was me reading between the lines when questioning the structural integrity, lack of skeleton frame, etc. That was all me, not him. It wasn't a knock on the case at all, it just brought up something I had no heard before, and made logical sense in my mind.

I think shipping anything that is fully built and decked out with watercooling gear would make anyone nervous. All that weight adds up. If it tipped over and fell on it's side, the case will more than likely be fine, but the shock force from tipping would probably damage something. If it was hard tubes and fell hard enough i would say it's possible they would crack.

Such as? :p... he's the one that made me alter mine, which is the goal that I'm really liking :)

Can you do something custom for me then?

Most of the custom build you see on Bit-Tech mainly, all I'm saying is that other than the real high end expensive components in that build, there's nothing that special about it. No mods really, just a straight build in a CaseLabs case which is extremely watercooling friendly.

Yea sure, send me a PM with what you're after but it also depends where you're located :)

Yup, that's right about Skunkworks and I think Jay is aware of that as he's addressed it a few times during the update videos on the build.

Yea that's all good. I guess most people would be quite skeptical about a full acrylic case. But yea they are rock solid. Shipping a WC system in any case would probably be a bit unsafe if not packaged properly and proper care is not take during transport.

Yea that's it mate, it would make me nervous too haha.

Has anyone seen that video from Singularity Computers on how he packages his WC systems for shipping? Can anyone share a link? Can't remember if it was at the end of one of the build videos or if it was an individual video, it was quite interesting though :)

Hey guys,

Here's a quick look at the memory going into the system. 16GB of G.Skill Trident X 2400Mhz.

Those stickers will probably come off to make the memory fit in with the build a little bit more, it is a good looking kit though.

Vinyl is on the way for this build so should get the vinyl work done pretty soon.

Cheers,

Thanks mate! It was a good choice of components :D

Absolutely, spot on matey! :D... Love it! :)

I am NOT a fan of ROG theme, black and red themes, but this has actually gotten my attention to be honest here... and I'm quite anal about it, not as much as a I am with noise, but still.

So kudos to you my friend ;)
