Goal
+++++++++

My goal is to do my first hard tubing watercool build in a mini itx case with a black a white theme

Still Needed - Questions
+++++++++

I still need to choose what kind of coolant to use, was thinking about a milky white
pastel colour, any ideas what I should choose taking into account the fact that I don't want to be having to change the coolant every two months?

I only have stock PSU cables for my AX760i which are black and dont look to bad, should I invest in custom braided cables, black or white ?

On the accessories list above could somebody with experience check the cutter, chamfer tool & heat gun to see if they will do the job correctly, if not then reccomend me something else?

Notes
+++++++++

Big thanks to Warchild for selling me the fittings, EK Fans & the top radiator (plus some other freebies)
All my orders should be coming in over the next few days so normally I should be building next weekend.
Not sure if I should customise the front of the case with a black sticker any ides or should I leave it as is ?

Updates

1 - Just picked a Cablemod PRO modmesh kit from local ads site brand new for 70 euros, they go far 99 euros on the Cablemod store.

Awesome.

Avoid vanity coolant. Either buy or make your own frosted tubing or use coloured tubes.

Stick to clear coolant. You'll thank me when it leaks or you need to work on it.

Coloured coolant lasts about two months then turns brown.

It really just doesn't work at all for anything but a photoshoot vanity build.

Some of them have chalk like stuff in too that clog pumps. Jay did a video about it.

I so second this advice, I recently had to strip down a D5 and remove God knows how much crap from it after running opaque/pastel fluids for just a few months - never again will I touch them.

Yeah totally not worth it. Use RGB to colour your coolant tbh.

Even the xspc coloured ones stain bloody everything they touch.

Haha you've spent all that on hardware and you're worried about 20 euro?

A litre should easily be enough.

EK and Mayhem do have a good true distilled water. Mayhem being the better one.

but I actually have been very impressed with the EK cryofuel. Their latest was fantastic.

Contains all the biocides you need as well.

It's exactly that. It's because he spent all on hardware, that 20 euros is expensive! :lol:

Can't fault that logic. When you drop an astronomical amount on components, you want to save or claw back costs elsewhere any chance you can.

Ordered Mayhems X1 Clear for 7 euros the litre.

EDIT: Does this need mixing with distilled water or can I put it in the loop as is?

Neither can I and I do not fault OP. I just thought it was a rather funny reply to Alien's comment ^_^

Litre bottle is premix it goes straight in. 250mm is a concentrate that needs to be diluted. There should be instructions on the bottle. Or just go to the website.

Good coolants will contain every thing yeah. Which by the time you add you'll pay more most likely.

The silver is to get rid of the corrosion. Look up kill coils.

Most corrosion is galvanic and happens due to mixing metals, but all ready mixed clear coolants are usually compatible with whatever you wish to use. EC6 for example allows the use of copper brass nickel and alu with no ills.

It's kinda like the PSU really. Usually overlooked but important.

Looks awesome. I guess the PE rad will be in front once it arrives so you can fit the second fan on too right? Also looks like you are doing push/pull on both rads?

Gonna be a killer looking build and surpass the original one that inspired you.

Cheers, was thinking about keeping it like that with one fan on the inside and two on the outside. In the roof I'll stick the PE with only two fans on the inside.

Good looking stuff, can't wait to see how this shapes up. Love the piano penguin look!

Unfortunately the motherboard is gonna ruin that white and black look, might have to paint the integrated heat shields & southbridge :(
