[Project Log] GREEN MOLECULE (modded Fractal Design ARC Mini R2)

I did this for my 4790k and saw a 19C drop in temp. But I also added an extra rad and 6 intake fans so my before and after results are skewed.

That being said, I'm getting 50C at load in games with 4.6Ghz and a happy 19C in idle.

If you want to get a good even spread on your CPU, you can still use an old Creditcard with LP TIM.

Yea I hope to get a significant drop in temperature too. I will do a lot of testing and OC once the loop is done :D.

I used cleaned it up really good as you saw in the pics, applied CLU, sat the chip in the socket and then placed the IHS back on top securing it with the bracket so it stays in place :)

Hey guys,

I finally managed to get the missing pieces in order to complete the build.

THE 970s ARE HERE :D

Time to slap some water blocks on then and get the loop started! I can't wait to get rid of that stock Intel cooler hahaha.

Here are some more shots of the build with the UV lights on. The exposure may not have been that good here as the UV effect on the fans is definitely not that bright. I will take proper pics once done.

Just be careful though since you are using the aluminium stock cooler

CLU will react and literally destroy it if you are not careful. Galium and Aluminium do not mix :)

Hmm I didn't think of that really. I hope it will be all good as I have seen people use CLU even on the IHS in some cases. I will be using IC Diamond on top of the IHS and the CLU only on the die :)

GPU and CPU blocks are on!

Here's a quick look at the cards and the EK FC670 waterblocks. Had no issues fitting them on the 970s!

Hey guys,

Here is the build in one of the final stages, ready for tubing up!

You can see I already have one of the tubes in and also from the pump to the GPUs I chose to go with some angle connectors and a connection that is usually used between SLI cards as it extends itself to achieve the length needed.

Let me know what you guys think of the build so far. I think it is shaping up really nicely!

Hey guys,

Check out the sexy Nvidia GeForce SLI bridge that is going in the build! It is a very special and nice looking piece of hardware, even if it's just an SLI bridge haha

Some shots with the side panel on. I still need to fix the edge on the left side where I messed the cut and had to make the window bigger then it was meant to be in order to save the panel.

I think the inside looks lovely. Very well planned out and clean.

But I still stick by my opinion of the outside. It's far too mellow and does not reflect the contents.

Sweeet!!! SLI bridge is a nice highlight - surprised its taken them so long to produce these kinda things...

Very tidy dude! Nicely executed and wrapped beautifully in the case, it's all coming together perfectly.

Hmmmmmmm hnggggggg

Sorry, I have to say I think the SLI bridge sticks out a bit too much for my liking...
Maybe if the grey bits were white?
